Birigundi laughed as he spun away from another drunk girl. It was turning into one sharding great birthday party! The young woman who stepped in his way next just made his grin grow even bigger. "Hanni,"
he drawled.
"Well look who just came my way," she began, matching his tone. "If it isn't the man of the moment himself."
"That would be me," he grinned. "Of course, I think its highly unfair.
My Ma really did all the work..."
"But she's not here, and you are," stated Hanni.
"True," he nodded. "I guess that means I have to celebrate enough for the both of us."
"And I could think of a wonderful way to celebrate," she teased, coming close enough to drape an arm around him. "All sorts of wonderful ways."
"Hmmm... really?" The party was winding down, and it was time to start thinking of taking it somewhere more private, and Hanni could make for scortching fine entertainment in the wee hours of the morning. This he knew. "We could always celebrate my birthday in my traditional way..."
"It wouldn't be fair to come to a party for your birthing day without a gift," she said. "Only, the gift I have for you, well, it's kind of personal, and private, if you know what I mean."
"Hmmmm... I don't think I do," he said with a sarcastic smile. "I think you'd better show me..."
"That my friend is the point," she grinned at him. "You see I happened to go to a gather a couple of rest days back. And I got some interesting things there..." That thought alone should spark his interest.
"Well... You just might have to show me what you bought. Did you buy anything for me?"
"This wine," she held up her free hand, "And something that I think you'll enjoy seeing on me." Or taking off her, if she had her way. "That does sound might intriguing," he smiled. "How long do I have to wait?"
"Until I succeed in in getting you back to my weyr?"
He took a step closer and whispered in her ear, "How long do I have to wait for _that_ to happen, hmmm?"
"Not so long as you might think, I'm sure you know the way."
What a wonderful night! "Well, lead on. I'll follow."
"This way, birthday boy!"
