Kapera

Kapera

Kapera was bored and feeling itchy for a change, so she went prowling around for a bathing pool that had some people in it, but wasn't crowded. She found one with a couple folks and a large pool and settled herself into the warm water to soak. Hopefully someone would pay attention to her.

Even before moving to Thayan Peak, and then to Dolphin Cove, L'exan had not possessed a lot of modesty. Personally, he didn't think he had reason to be. He was basically made of muscle and had nothing to be ashamed of below the waist. So he left his clothes in the changing area, made sure there weren't any kids who probably shouldn't be seeing things like that yet, flipped his towel over his shoulder and sauntered into the bathing area.

There was a clear area by that drop-dead gorgeous lady over there- oh,
hello. That was the Weyrwoman Second. Wow. L'exan had not possessed a clue she was so attractive without clothes on- He smacked down his libido. This was not the time; he had wing drills in an hour now that Larzeth's wing was over the sprain he'd gotten thanks to an unexpected downdraft. Instead, he casually asked, "This spot taken?"

"There's plenty of room on this side of the pool," she said, shifting over to ostensibly make room for him. And if her hair shifted to reveal a bit more of her breasts, well, it was a side bonus.

Oh-ho, that was a pleasing sight. The bluerider's libido began to squirm under the metaphorical weight he'd dropped on it. "Excellent." L'exan
dropped the towel and stepped in, sinking below the surface of the water
and coming back up to grab his little jar of sweetsand. "Don't suppose I could ask you to scrub my back?" He no longer minded if anyone saw the cluster of Threadscoring stretching from shoulder to shoulder and halfway down his spine. It was a badge of survival and incredible luck, a reminder of the cost of idiocy and hubris.

"I'd he happy to, as long as you assist me afterwards," she teased gently. "There are some things that are always better with assistance."

"I'd say that's a fair trade," L'exan jovially stated, handing her the jar and turning around to pull his hair off his broad back. "So what's keeping you busy today, lady goldrider?"

"Working on some records, and infirmary rounds in a bit. Other then that, not much. And how are you and your dragon?" She wasn't entirely sure she knew his name.

"Not exactly excited about the wing drill we got today. Downdraft took a bunch of us by surprise earlier this month -sprained wings everywhere- so our wingleader hasn't been very merciful," L'exan chuckled. "But that's fine. I like a challenge. Larzeth doesn't mind 'em either."

"Sounds painful, I'm sorry," she said with a wince.

The bluerider just shrugged, muscles shifting. "Eh, it's a hazard of the job. We're all fine now, I promise."

"Riyanth once got strained catching a bronze dragon," she said. "I find their injuries almost worse than our own."

A woman after his own heart. "I do too," L'exan said seriously.

**Er, Riyanth. Who's Larzeth's rider?** she asked before she embarrassed herself.

}:L'exan,:{ the gold passed back after a moment.

She started scrubbing his back, realizing that the talking had distracted
from the work. "So what are your hobbies, L'exan?"

The bluerider felt a thrill at her touch and the fact Kapera knew his name.
His ego shot up a few points, not that it needed such. "Card games,
parties, rock-climbing, swimming, and sassing my blue," he reported. "He
sasses me right back. What about you?"

"Patries, hmm? I haven't been in the party scene since I arrived here, I
rather miss it. And this is a good weyr for swimming."

"Wait, what?" L'exan looked over his shoulder, surprised. "No parties at
all but for hatchings?"

"Nope. I guess the other goldriders aren't much for parties so they don't
think to invite me. I can't see Meledei at a raging bash," she said, trying
to be gentle on the scarred area.

"Well that needs to be fixed straightaway. Tell you what, I'm inviting a
few of my best mates to my weyr for a party at the end of the month. It's
greenrider Arlen's birthingday, and she has a little one on the way.
There'll be singing, dancing, card games, wine and goodies. No wine for
Arlen, of course, but she doesn't really like the stuff anyway. How 'bout
you join us?"

"That sounds like a good time," she said with a grin. "I don't know Arlen
well yet, but I bet she's going to our wing, with that news."

"Aye, she's transferring soon enough," L'exan said, and turned around to
pick up the sweetsand. "We'll be starting at seven at night, so you can
show up anytime. Now, I'd say it's your turn," he said with an expression
between a friendly grin and a leer.

His back was scrubbed clean and so she agreed, turning herself around and sweeping her long black hair forward over her chest to leave her back bare. "I'll be sure to be there."

"It'll be my pleasure to have you," L'exan said. She had lovely skin, good musculature. "So how do you like it? Nice and soft, or a bit rougher?" he asked, knowing full well how the words sounded despite the fact he wanted to know how she wanted her back scrubbed.

"My back prefers a gentle touch on the sweetsand, as befits a goldrider's noble skin," she said, keeping a level voice. Then she ruined it by giggling.

Aww, she had such a cute giggle. L'exan ruined that in turn by leaning closer so his breath would brush Kapera's ear. "What about the rest of your body?" he murmured as he scrubbed slowly and gently.

"I could use some more pressure on my limbs. I mean, have you ever had a good leg massage?" She shivered.

"No, actually. I must be missing out. Might have to look for a healer who does that sorta thing."

"Try Agalian. It's worth it. He's magic on sore muscles." And she'd wondered if his hands would be magic elsewhere - though she'd been being remarkably chaste in comparison.

"Agalian, got it."

}:L'exan, what's keeping you? My straps aren't going to put themselves on,:{ Larzeth interjected.

**The Weyrwoman Second, that's what.** But L'exan decided his dragon was once again the more sensible of them, so he finished the job quickly but thoroughly. "My beloved bratty blue is reminding me of the upcoming drill. Blast you, responsibilities."

She laughed at his description of his dragon. Sometimes she felt that way about Riyanth.

"They do get in the way. I'll be sure to look you up later," Kapera promised.

"Looking forward to it," L'exan said with a roguish grin.
