Alrog knocked the harper's door before opening it. "Journeyman Carlan, it's me, Alrog. Do you have a moment? It's about my sister's wedding."
"Of course," said the harper. "Do come in."
"All right," Alrog said and entered. He let out a tired sigh. "We need to changes the wedding plans."
"Changes?" asked Carlan curiously. "Your sister, she hasn't changed her mind?"
"No, she has got herself pregnant. Couldn't wait for the Turnover Gather. Now we have to speed things up," Alrog replied. He could vividly remember her pale face when she came to tell him.
~*~ Flashback ~*~~
"Alrog, do you have a moment?" Rolfina asked with strangely subdued and timid voice.
Putting the mine report aside, the young holder beaconed her inside. "What's the matter, sis?" Alrog asked, noticing who pale she looked.
The young woman entered and sat in the chair. "I'm pregnant," she wispered.
"What?" Alrog asked, not sure if he had heard correctly.
"I'm pregnant, I'm expecting Milon's baby," she said defiantly with more force and with her usual spirit.
"Oh, Rolfie, you two just couldn't wait for the wedding, could you?"
"No, we couldn't! You don't know how it is. To love someone and be denied the fullfillment of that love."
"You're right, I don't know," Alrog said sadly. He had never loved anyone. Well, there were his feelings for certain young widow, but he wasn't sure it was real love. "I hope it was worth of it."
"It was," she blushed.
"Who knows?" he asked then.
"Just you, me, Milon and the healer of course. Mother is going to be so furious when she heards," Rofgina's voice was again timid, her lips trembling.
"You can bet on that," Alrog said dryly, knowing his mother's temper. "Well, only thing to do now is get you and Milon wedded as soon as possible." He got up and walked around the table, wrapping his arms around her. Rolfina had always been his favourite little sister, a merry, lively girl with a cheery smile. "Don't worry, it's going to be all right." Rolfina burried her face against his chest and started to cry.

"I see," said Carlan. "What sort of ceremony would she prefer?" Given the circumstances, some would want just a quiet ceremony, as he himself had had, although not for that reason.
"Well, less showy than my mother originally planned obviously," Alrog said dryly. "Something simple, with only family and few closest friends in attendance. You're still willing to do the ceremony?"
Carlan nodded. "I can perform it as soon as you need be to. Just give me a day to reorganise my schedule first."
"Well, it should happen within a month. Before her pregnancy starts to show out," Alrog said thoughtfully and tried to remember his own appointments.
"I see, let me know when and where and I'll do it."
"I will send you the date with Lapis when I know when," the holder promised. He sighed.
"I'll look forward to it," replied the harper politely.
"You're welcome to bring your wife and child with you. Maybe few quests will prevent my mother causing a scene."
"I'm sure Nikanna would enjoy the day out."
"I'm sure she will."
