"How's Aosorath, holding up?" B'vin asked walking over to D'cal as he stripped off his riding gloves. "That last run through was pretty strenuous."

}:I'm a little tired, but I can do it again!:{ Aosorath assured his rider.

**If you are tired, you should rest.** D'cal reminded him.

The blue considered that carefully before replying, }:It's a good kind of tired. I could do it again safely.:{ D'cal smiled and turned to the greenrider. "He says he could do it again."

"Good." B'vin said approvingly, "That means he's strong. Serenth and the other greens are probably glad for the break though." "Yes, he is strong. And fast, for all that he's small." The bluerider patted Aosorath affectionately. He wasn't exactly comfortable talking to B'vin after their bathing pool encounter. The greenrider had been really upset, and D'cal wasn't sure how to put the ease back into their friendship. "Serenth seems to be enjoying flying again."

B'vin nodded, "Yes, she missed it, even drills." He almost smiled, but then reminded himself to keep it professional. D'cal was just another weyrling... "Just remember to keep an eye on Aosorath, sometimes when they're young they don't think they'll ever tire." }: I'm not tired, :{ Aosorath pipped up. }: I'm strong. And Serenth is watching me.:{ The little blue stretched out his wings a bit to make himself look a bit bigger.

**Shards, that's all I need...** "I think Aosorath is beginning to like the idea of showing off for the greens," D'cal chuckled. He was about that age finally...

B'vin ran his fingers through his hair, frowning slightly. He was again reminded of how he was glad that Serenth wasn't rising. Just what he needed was Aosorath to catch Serenth in a flight; his friendship with D'cal would be over for sure then. His experiences with riders post-flight had never been good, and there was no reason to believe that it would be any different with D'cal. "Well, like I said," he replied finally, "just keep an eye on him. If he strains a wing the greens won't be that impressed." "I'll make sure he understands that," the weyrling nodded. "I think it will be a while yet before he Impresses any green enough to catch one."
At least, D'cal hoped so.

The greenrider tried to think of something to say to do with drills that would steer the discussion away from what he could see becoming an uncomfortable subject. The only problem was that D'cal had done the drill perfectly and he had no critisim or suggestions. He gave up, "Do you have any plans for tonight? I was kind of in the mood for some cards, we haven't played in awhile."

"I need to wash Aosorath and Tilarth tonight, but after than I don't think I have anything planned." It had been a while since D'cal and B'vin had done anything fun. Maybe it would help B'vin feel comfortable with him again.

B'vin almost suggested he and Serenth meet them, but after what happened last time they were in the water together he decided against it. "Okay then, meet you at my weyr?"

"Sure. Do you need me to bring anything?"

"Cards?" the greenrider said with a grin.

"Well, I _think_ I can handle that," D'cal chuckled as he put his riding cap back on. "Sounds like Aosorath is about to get another try at impressing all those greens."

B'vin turned to see the group getting ready for the next drill, "Have fun." "Of course! Isn't that what these drills are about?" D'cal chuckled as he swung his leg over Aosorath's neck. "Tonight then?"

He nodded, "Tonight."
