Timassa

Timassa

Timassa was just a little confused, Some of the corridors in the lower
caverns twisted and turned so that she was completely twisted around
and couldn't remember which way to go. She'd ended back up in the
dining hall for the third time when she finally broke down and asked
someone else for directions.

"Can someone please show me the way to the Headwoman," she asked in
exasperation.

"This way," a girl said to her. She was all of about eight or nine
turns with dark hair and a big smile. She crooked her finger and took
off down the hall so that Timassa had to trot to catch up.

"Thanks," she said as the twisted through the corridors and finally
ended up in front of the door.

"Chaysea, someone here to see you," announced Kielya then she took off
down the hall to do whatever weyrbrats do when they aren't assisting
lost greenriders.

"Thank you she called but got no answer.

Chaysea looked up with a smile, since she was very familiar with
Kieyla's voice, as she was with most of the weyrbrats. "Come in,
please," she said to the greenrider, waving her in. "Please don't look
at the mess on this desk right now," she waved her hands over the
multiple different stacks of papers.

"Oh trust me, I understand about Hidework," she grinned and walked
into the room. "I've just transferred," she handed over the noted
she'd gotten from D'hol. "I'm Timassa of green Saryolth."

"I'm Chaysea, nice to meet you," the Headowman said, taking the note
in one hand and reaching for her Weyr map with the other. "Let's see
if we can find a good place for you. Do you have any preferences?"

"Close as I can get to the bathing pools," she smiled. "I like to soak
after 'fall. Though I imagine you're fairly crowded what with all the
extra people."

"The numbers have evened out some since the original surge, with
riders transferring to other Weyrs in the area," Chaysea admitted,
although they were still very full. Her eyes scanned over the page,
her fingers following along behind until she spotted it, "Ah, there we
go. I just had someone move out of a weyr that's not too far from the
baths a couple days ago. The drudges typically clean it out the next
day so it should be ready for you."

"Great!" Timassa smiled, "I always seem to have pretty good luck. Do
you have bedding? I'm afraid I only brought a few things with me not
knowing I'd actually be staying."

"I'm sure we have something in storage," Chaysea assured her. "Is
there anything else you'll need for the weyr? I'll have it brought up
to you." She pulled a fresh piece of paper out to make the list.

"I imagine there are glows if not other lights. I'll get my other
things from Far Island in the next few days, so other than finding the
dining cavern, and my wings room, I should be all set."

"Know which way to head for the Dining Cavern?" Chaysea asked with a grin.

"Not really," she smiled back. "If that girl hadn't volunteered to
guide me I'd have never found you. I did find the dining hall three
times while I was looking for you though so maybe I _will_ be able to
find it. Do you have time to show me the weyr? I'll need to guide
Saryolth up to her new ledge."

"Of course," Chaysea stood stretching her legs and back as she did,
"I've been in this chair for far too long anyway." Clipping her ring
of keys onto her belt, because she never left her office without them,
the Headwoman said, "We'll grab your linens on the way. That way you
know you won't end up with something horrid, you never know what the
drudges will grab." While all of the linens were in good condition,
she couldn't say the same about the taste level of the patterned
quilts or colors of furs.

"Great," Timassa smiled. She knew greenrider weyrs were usually fairly
small, but that was fine with her. She and Sariolth didn't need a big
space like the larger dragons did. As they walked along the corridors
she thought she recognized some of them. "That way is the dining
cavern right?"

"You are correct. It was the first path I learned when I moved here,"
Chaysea grinned. It felt as if it had only been a few months when in
reality she'd been Headwoman at Dolphin Cove for two Turns. She
marveled still at how quickly time had passed.

"I bet," Timassa smiled. When the headwoman pulled up her keys Timassa
figured they were getting near and dropped back out of the way. She
heard the sound of voices and water not too far away so she was quite
pleased with the location. "This is good," she nodded.

"I am glad you like it," Chaysea said as she unlocked the door and
opened it up for Timassa to enter. "If there's anything I can help you
with I have a firelizard, Company, that your dragon can contact."

"Oh this is nice," Timassa smiled as she saw the size of the weyr.
"There's room for a couch and a table." She opened her arms and
twirled in the space. The bed was even a double instead of a single.
The curtain appeared to be nice and thick for warmth. She instantly
approved. "Thank you Chaysea, this will do very nicely. I think a
sofa, table, and this chest for my clothes are all I'm going to need
beyond my own things from Far Island."

Chaysea smiled, pleased that the greenrider was happy with the
accommodations. The Headwoman took great pride in keeping the Weyr
well stocked and cleaned. "Well, I will leave you to it, unless
there's anything else I can do."

"I will and thank you again," she said watching as the headwoman let
herself out. She dropped the bedding on the bed. Then she went out to
the ledge and called Saryolth up to meet her. The green settled
quickly on her couch and Timassa leaned against her side for a bit.
"It's beautiful here," she mused.

}:And there are handsome males:{

Timassa laughed. **Yes.**
