**Well.** J'nus surveyed the trunks and furniture that teetered next to Kopth on his ledge. He'd met with the Headwoman and toured the new Weyr days before, and now he-- and all his things-- had arrived.

For a man who grew up as a traveller, he had a lot of _things_.

J'nus sighed, then looked over his shoulder at the rest of the Weyr. The lake glittered in the afternoon sun and from where he stood, he could pick out Kapera's new weyr. Kopth followed his gaze and rumbled approvingly, even as J'nus sighed and turned his attention back to his luggage.

}:She has asked that we come,:{ Kopth said.

**I know.** J'nus picked up his carved headboard and started toward the entrance of his weyr. *

}:Perhaps she will rise first.:{

**Perhaps.** He set down the headboard next to the bedframe in the weyr and started out again for the rugs. **She has asked us before, Kopth. This changes nothing.**

}:I am not talking about the rider,:{ Kopth watched with interest as J'nus heaved the roll of several rugs over his shoulder and began carrying them indoors. }:Riyanth wants us here. And when she rises, she may become Senior Queen of this Weyr.:{

J'nus smiled at that. **You want to be Weyrleader? That's new.**

}:I want to be Riyanth's mate again,:{ Kopth said. His tone turned sly. }:And you wish to mate with her rider.:{

The bronzerider paused. Then he dropped the rugs on the floor and began to unroll them. His relationship with Kapera was... complicated. They orbited each other like stars, never quite touching but never quite able to break free, either. In his own way, he loved her. But it wasn't an easy love. She was hard to hold and he was--

--well, he was himself. But that didn't stop his mind from imaging himself in the Weyrleader's fancy new office, or with Kopth in the air as they faced down the glittering leading edge of Threadfall with a jewel-bright flight of dragons at his back. He shook the idle daydream away and settled down to more practical matters. **Kapera, _and_ Ryanth, will come to us when they wish,** he told his dragon. **And we'll be here when they do.**

Kopth snorted. }:I will wait,:{ he said placidly as he surveyed the weyrlake.

**And I will unpack.** J'nus straightened and looked back toward Kopth's ledge where he luggage waited. There was _so much luggage_. **Even if it takes a while.**
