Heeyy, Kaibren gets his own story!
"Come on, no one's home," Kaibren assured Laysha, his hand gently tugging on hers as he pulled her into his mother's weyr. There wasn't a lot of privacy down in the creche, so Kaibren had become fairly adept at figuring out when his mother was out of her weyr on business.
"But it's the _Weyrwoman_'s _weyr_." Laysha said with a pretty blush riding high on her dimpled cheeks.
"She's at drills right now. We have plenty of time. Trust me." The teen's lips parted, showing an enticingly white smile that tended to get him what he wanted whenever it was used.
Laysha's stomach fluttered at the smile, and she thought her insides might melt from the heat of Kaibren's blue gaze. This was what all of the other girls in the creche whispered about - catching _Kaibren's_ attention. They whispered often about his blond hair, how they wanted to run their fingers through it, and the eyes, oh, those were talked about often and many girls imagined what it would be like if he turned them on her.
Kaibren knew that his status as the Weyrwoman's son played a part in the crushes that some of the girls had on him, and having his mother's eyes, and his Uncle K'yne's blonde hair and tall build, didn't hurt either. Unlike K'yne, Kaibren had learned the full use of a charming smile, which was something his uncle told him that his father had used quite often.
"You look beautiful today," Kaibren breathed into Laysha's ear as he took two handfuls of the colorful skirt that she wore and pulled her against him.
Laysha giggled breathily, a little gasp of surprise escaping as Kaibren kissed her.
Kaibren had been working on Laysha for a fortnight; she was shy, and beautiful, and there was a generous swell beneath her tunic that he had been wanting to explore for days. She was not the first girl he had taken to his mother's, and he doubted that she would be the last.
After he had sex with them, Kaibren tended to find the girl less interesting, and inevitably there would be someone new that caught his eye.
"Let me help you with these," Kaibren said with a rakish grin, the kind that made girls swoon, as he began pulling open the laces on the front of her tunic.
"Oh," Laysha's eyelashes fluttered down, her blush intensifying, but she made no move to stop him. She had known what she was walking into when Kaibren had invited her up to his mother's weyr. She wanted to see if the stories about him were right, if the way the other girls gushed about his prowess in the bed was true.
Kaibren finished tugging open the laces and then pulled the tunic over Laysha's head, leaving her blonde hair spilling around her porcelain shoulders in a glorious blonde wave. His eyes traveled across her milky skin to the wonderfully exposed swells of her breasts.
The tightening in the front of his pants was becoming downright uncomfortable. Kaibren reached down to loosen the laces some, but his hand froze as a throat cleared.
"I didn't realize we were having a guest over," a cool, raspy, feminine voice said with an underlying current of authority that made his blood freeze.
Laysha yelped, her arms flying around her body to cover her breasts as she leaped behind Kaibren for cover.
"Mother," Kaibren said, his voice slightly tight as his own hands dropped to cover his obvious arousal.
Saibra arched an eyebrow, but no other emotion was displayed on her face. "Laysha?" her eyes went to the drudge. "I believe this is yours," the Weyrwoman stooped and picked up the discarded tunic.
Kaibren snatched the tunic from his mother's hands and quickly handed it over his shoulder to Laysha. Turning his back on his mother, Kaibren put a finger under Laysha's chin. "I'm sorry. I'll talk to you later?"
Laysha nodded rapidly, embarrassment emanating from her bright red cheeks as she held the tunic over her front and quickly darted from the weyr.
Kaibren whirled back to face his mother, who looked the part of a fierce Weyrwoman as she stood in her riding leathers, her cheeks reddened from the wind, her black hair pulled into a fierce braid that laid over one shoulder.
"I, uh, thought you were at drills," he said as a way of explanation. "I'll just, uh... Well, I should probably get going -"
"Sit."
The single word, the command, left no room for refusal.
Kaibren sat down, feeling exactly as he had when he had gotten in trouble as a child. Yes, he was sixteen, yes, he could do whatever he wanted, but there was no disobeying your mother... especially when your mother was the Weyrwoman.
"She's not the first girl you've brought up here?" Saibra asked, looking very much like a Weyrwoman at the moment and not at all like his mother.
"No, she's not."
"You're having sex?" she asked.
It was Kaibren's turn to blush a little. "Yes."
Saibra crumpled into a chair across from Kaibren with a sigh. "Already?" she demanded, the mother in her cringing.
"I'm sixteen, Mother. There are wingriders who are sixteen, in your own wing, who have had plenty of sex, I'm sure."
It was all logical and he was right, of course, but Kaibren was her _baby_, the last child she'd had with K'fel, and knowing that he was sixteen and having sex... Well, that made him not a child anymore.
"But you're my baby," she groaned, putting a hand to her chest.
Kaibren relaxed a little, realizing he was out of danger now that his mother's anger had faded some. "You have two actual babies, Mom. Twins? Remember them?"
"Of course," Saibra rolled her eyes, "but it's different. You were my baby for so long before the twins came along. It's like finally closing the door on...."
"On dad?" he finished for her. Kaibren didn't really remember his father, perhaps some vague, fuzzy mental image, but he had heard his mother, sister, and uncle talk about him to the point where he knew what she was going to say.
"You have R'enh," he pointed out.
"I know that," she snapped waspishly. "And I love him." There was no replacement for R'enh in her heart, but there was also a corner that would always belong to K'fel.
"While we are talking about this -"
"Oh Faranth, what else? Is someone pregnant?" Saibra groaned.
"No," Kaibren laughed. It was refreshing, talking to his mother for the first time like an adult as opposed to a child. "I want to stand at the next Hatching."
Saibra sighed. "I thought you might be getting ready for that. I'm surprised you haven't asked before this."
"I didn't want to be one of those kids who Impresses and spends their first four Turns sitting out the action in the Queen's Wing." At Saibra's look, he held up his hands. "No offense."
"If you are ready to stand, then by all means, it is your right."
"It's my heritage," Kaibren said.
Saibra smiled a little before holding up a scolding finger. "Do _not_ bring any more girls, or boys, up to my weyr. Understood? This is where I live. If anyone is having sex here it is going to be me."
Kaibren groaned. "Aw, Mom, gross!"
Her eyebrows raised triumphantly. "Yes, you just remember that before you sneak up here again."
They both stood up.
"Are you nice to the girls, Kaibren?" she asked, suddenly serious again.
"What do you mean?"
"It's easy to hurt people." She had learned that the hard way in life. "Just be careful. You'll earn yourself a reputation and then someday when you really do love someone, they might not be able to trust or believe you."
Kaibren rolled his eyes. "Mom."
"I'm just saying," she held up her hands. "Learn from my experience. That's what parents are for. And for Faranth's sake, be careful, or I'll have seventeen grandchildren running around Dragonsfall."
