"And stay out!" She fussed at the canine who was slinking out of the kitchens carrying some stolen meatpies. Grumbling about all canines and spoiled ones in particular, she didn't hear another person slip into the kitchens. Riders and Weyr residents of all kinds often invaded her kitchens at this time of night, when she was busily baking for the next day, to feed their seemingly never full stomachs. She didn't mind, truthfully, and had actually had some really wonderful late-night conversations because of the Weyr's habits. She eventually heard a faint noise behind her, and peered around, startled to find U'das as the 'thief' this time. Her smile widened for a moment, then she turned mockingly stern. "Look at you, bronzerider.
Stealing around the kitchens like one of these far too young Weyrlings!"

"Guilty, my dear headwoman!" U'das laughed, a freshly baked breakfast roll in his hand. Solieira grinned - she couldn't help it - at him and shook her head.
She grabbed her rolling pin and waved it in his direction. "You know, U'das, I'd bring you just about anything you liked. Care for anything else, since you've dared sink so low as thievery?"

"Cup of fresh klah would be nice," the bronzerider replied with totally innocent look in his face. He bit to his roll. Her rolling pin was set aside. She considered for the first time that she probably didn't look all that .. appealing.. at the moment, with some flour on her hands and her apron around her waist. Her hair was piled high on her head, but after rinsing her hands, she took it down with a fairly saucy (for an almost 70 turn old woman) grin. "Your choice, bronzerider. You could have asked for _anything_, but klah it is." She was laughing at herself, but Shards, was it fun to flirt, even a little. She didn't even think for one moment that it was out of place for a woman her age. "Oh, shards, what a mistake," U'das grinned. "I should have asked for a tumble in my bedfurs," he said with regretful voice. He wasn't sure where he was heading at with her, but he was enjoying it anyway. Solieira laughed and it was the sound of an adult woman, knowing what she wanted. She poured him a cup of klah and joined him with one of her own. "Well, I might consider another turn in your bedfurs, U'das, with a convincing enough reason." A wink and another smile. She didn't know where she wanted to go with U'das. But she was certain wherever it was, it would be fun. "I do have several turns to catch up on being in _someone's_ bedfurs." "I've ahead of you in that matter," U'das said teasingly.

Sol laughed with him, her eyes sparkling for a moment making her look much younger. "Well bronzerider, one time in your bed is by far enough for a turn or so of loneliness, although that still leaves me several."
She grinned, taunting him with one raised eyebrow. "But perhaps you prefer the young, uneducated greenriders?" She teased him back. "I prefer them women and willing," U'das said with a leery grin. "I'm a dirty old bronzerider." Soliera laughed, tossing her head a little in the motion. Her now undone brown hair curled a bit, showing gray here and there, but still lovely and thick. She turned to look him full in the face, intent upon his eyes. "Well, bronzerider, I think I might know a woman that is willing to bed a dirty old man... "

"You do?" the bronzerider stepped closer. "Does she smell like deliciously fresh bread?" he asked. Sol took a step closer to him too, her smile slow but purposeful. "She does, actually. I know.. hard to resist isn't it?" She said a bit ruefully, slightly embarrassed that she was propositioning him in her condition. "It is..." The Headwoman looked at him for a moment, then winked. "I'll send her to you when I find her then." The bronzerider's expressive face betrayed his disappointment. Some jokes just were too cruel.

Sol was touched by the disappointment on his face, and did what she had been reluctant to do; she went to him and leaned up to kiss him full on the lips, smelling of freshly baked bread and all. "I found her." She said quietly. She had just been teasing him, but perhaps she shouldn't have teased him quite so much. U'das wrapped his arms around her. "That's wonderful," he wispered to her ear.

The Headwoman smiled as she settled into the bronzerider's arms. "Hmm..
it's the middle of the night, U'das. Do your old bones need more sleep?
Or do you feel like being a dirty old bronzerider?" "Who needs sleep when he has a beautiful woman in his arms?"

"Not you, bronzerider. Not you..." She smiled and kissed him again, lingering over it with obvious enjoyment. "I can leave the bread baking to someone else tonight, if you've other ideas for me, U'das." She whispered against his ear, leaning her body into his suggestively. "Oh, I have plenty of ideas, over forty-turns worth of ideas," U'das whispered back.

"Then we better get busy, U'das." She said, leaning up to kiss him lingeringly again.
