"I wanted to say congrats on two points."Aletta said with a smile. "One, I can't wait to see that clutch and two I'm glad you and Kirra are happy."

Z'al looked up and smiled at the greenrider. "Thank you. I hope it is a large clutch. It feels weird to be the rider of the sire of a clutch."
He ran a hand through his hair, and sighed, "I know that Kirra was hurt by the whole thing. I think I was able to reasure her but..."

"I hope it's a large clutch too Z'al. Kirra understands I think.
Besides mabye she'll impress one of the greens."

"I hope so. She deserves to. Perhaps she will find a pretty little green. It will be hard to let her go for the time it takes for her to grow. I just hope she still wants me after wards." He said halfheartedly.

"Why wouldn't she? SHe's crazy about you. At least that brown of your will be old enough to chase her green when she rises. I figure if he can catch a gold, he can catch a young green." she joked.

"I'm sure your right. Thing is, I've never been unsure of myself before. She makes me want to do anything for her. I mean I thought I was in love before but now. Then there is part of me that doesn't want her to impress. I don't want her to fly thread and have to worry that she may get hurt as I did. I don't want her to have to go through that. Is that selfish of me?"

"I don't think it's selfish of you, but you'd better not mention that not impressing to her. It's something she wants too do and it might make her mad." Aletta wished she knew how she felt abot Figol in such clean terms. Things where always akwared between them, no matter what she did.

"I didn't mention my worries. We've spoken of what it would mean if she didn't. I've only realy loved someone as much as her, one other time.
It didn't end to well. She was married off and I never saw her again. She only turned up long enough to give my son to my parents, then she just disappeared. Kirra, Zamely and Nyinth are the center of my world. I couldn't stand losing any of them." He looked down at his hands.

Aletta put her hand over his, "I know you won't lose Nyinth. Your son will ne fine here in the Weyr and Kirra loves you. I envey you, you've got Kirra and your son. I've got Farsith, well theres Fickle too but she only cares if her stomuch is full."

"You'll find the right one. He'll come by and sweep you off your feet.
Don't worry. Plus, you've always got your friends. You'll always have Kirra and me." He said with a bit of cheering up.

"I guess so. Kinda funny isn't it. I come here to tell you congrats and end up whining."

"Not a problem. What are friends for, if not to whine to. I've done my whinning ofr the day now it's your turn." He smield.

"Farsith says we both whine too much." she replyed dryly.

"Nyinth agrees." He smiled. He was bursting to tell her his other news but wanted to leave that for Kirra to tell. Al his worries seemed to drain away when he thought of it.

"What's that look for?" she noticed Z'al's expression and became cerious.

"Oh, Kirra may have something to tell you in a couple days. I don't want to ruin her surprise. She may wish to tell it herself." He asmiled.

Aletta rasied an eyebrow, wondering if it had something to do with what she and her friend had discussed. Too bad she couldn't as Coriat.
He'd never tell. Drated healer.

"Perhaps we could head inside and get a bite to eat. We may find Kirra inside." He smiled as he offered an arm.

"The sooner i find out what your hiding the better." she smriked.
"Food sounds good too." she laughed.

"Come then, to the food." He smiled as he lead the way.
