"There he is," the Weyrleader pointed to his much taller son, then as the bronzerider realised he had been spotted pointing, K'reyel turned to wave back to his father.

"He looks a lot like you, you know."

"With that height and that hair?" K'sedel grinned. "He's his mother's son.
She would have been very proud of him."

"But I can see you in him," she replied thoughtfully. "Maybe it's the way he walks," she laughed, flicking him a teasing glance.

"The bronzerider swagger?"

She nodded gravely. "Yeah. The bronzerider swagger. A definite trademark, I think," Ciara grinned, brushing her cheek briefly against his shoulder.

K'sedel looked down fondly at his lover, perhaps it was time; no it was well overdue that Ciara formally met K'reyel. He raised his hand and waved at his son, beckoning him over.

She raised her head, watching as K'reyel began to approach them.
Self-conciously, she smoothed wrinkles from her shirt, straightening it over her rounded stomach. She hoped she looked at least half-way decent!

"Father," K'reyel greeted them somewhat formally. But there was a smile on his face. "And this must be Ciara."

"It's nice to meet you," the greenrider smiled, extending her hand to him.
Of course she'd seen K'sedel's son, but to hear his voice...shards! It was so like his father's.

"Well met," he said taking her hand. Shards, she was close to birthing, and his own Mai...

"I was just telling K'sedel how much you look like him." Ciara slanted a glance over at the Weyrleader. "He doesn't seem to share my opinion."

"No? I think he might be right, you want to meet K'deren, you'd think you were seeing double."

K'sedel nodded. "Everybody always said K'deren was my son, and you were Meree's."

"I met your weyrmate the other evening," Ciara told K'reyel with a smile.
"She's a lovely woman."

"I think so too," K'reyel smiled. If there was anything he was happy to talk about it would be Mai. "We're hoping to start a family of our own soon." If only Mai herself was pregnant, then seeing this... It didn't hurt exactly, it was just more of a bruise to the ego considering how long it seemed that they had been trying for.

"And your child could play with ours." Ciara turned her smile up to K'sedel.

"It would be nice..." said both men almost together.

The greenrider grinned. And K'sedel had said K'reyel was more his mamma's son... "It would."
