}:Hello.:{ Teyrabth greeted, alighting by the lakeside, blinking once at the other brown. }:It is a a very nice day to sun.:{
H'kami gave his brown a pat and slid down off Teyrabth's back. "Hey there." He greeted to the brown's rider in echo.
}:Hello.:{ Nazoth considered the older brown. }:It is a nice day for a bath, too.:{
"Hey." M'sar gave the other rider a considering look that was a lot more lingering. Not bad at all.
H'kami arched a single brow, gaze lifting to meet M'sar's with his ever-ready grin. "Name's H'kami." He told the other brownrider. "You?"
}:Perhaps I will swim with you.:{ Teyrabth told Nazoth, and yawned widely. }:I am Teyrabth.:{
}:I am Nazoth.:{ He stretched his wings. }:I think you are nearly as big as me.:{
"M'sar. You lookin' for company?" he asked casually.
Teyrabth considered this, and opened his own wings, to peer at Nazoth's and then his own. }:Or perhaps you are nearly as large as I.:{ he noted equably. }:In any case, we are both quite large.:{
"Could be." H'kami responded, and rolled his shoulders in a stretch. "You interested, handsome?"
M'sar's attention sharpened. "Another brownrider into men, huh? Well, well." He stepped closer and brushed a hand along the other rider's arm. "Yeah, I'm interested. But I gotta wash Nazoth first."
"Want help? Your Nazoth's a big boy." H'kami offered, running his free hand through his mop of sandy-brown hair, eyes bright.
Another nonchalant sort of shrug. "And I'm into a good time as much as anyone. Cards, a hot soak, meeting up with someone good-looking..."
"I love a good tumble." M'sar reached into his wash bucket and held out the spare brush.
H'kami took the brush, and let his hand linger over M'sar's for a moment longer before he pulled away. "Helps if they're handsome." He teased. "Your Nazoth's in fine form too, looks like."
M'sar couldn't help a swell of pride at the praise for his dragon. "He's still giving the bronzes a run for their marks. And he ain't the fastest flyer but he's _strong_."
Nazoth preened under the attention, puffing up his chest.
}:Mine says to ask you if starting at your shoulder is well enough.:{ Teyrabth relayed to the other brown, settled on the shoreline to watch.
"Browns are the best." H'kami agreed easily, with another grin.
M'sar's eyes unfocused as Nazoth spoke to him. "Oh yeah, he says it's fine to start at his shoulder." Grabbing a handful of sweetsand, he started scrubbing the golden-brown hide. "Haven't been with a brownrider before. Should be interesting."
H'kami started scrubbing as well. "Dragon colour matters less than you'd think." He quipped. "At least, I've rarely been turned down for a bit of fun." He added. "You play dragonpoker?"
"Yeah."
"Awesome." H'kami said, and grinned at him. "I'll have to invite you around sometime for that, too."
"Sex first, then cards . . . I like you already," M'sar said.
The other brownrider continued to look amused. "Feeling's mutual." He responded with a shrug. "Teyrabth’s pretty calm, too. My brown's never bothered by company."
"Nazoth can be a little full of himself sometimes," M'sar said fondly. "But he doesn't fuss too much unless a bronze tries to boss him around."
"_Bronzes_." H'kami agreed, with just enough of an audible eye roll, though he continued scrubbing Nazoth's hide just so. "When I first moved in, one of them got all huffy at having a neighbor. But I honestly don't think Teyrabth even registered it."
"Who was that?" M'sar asked.
"Adamanth." H'kami supplied. "Z'renh was all right, though." He added, contemplative for a moment, before he snickered. "Didn't bug Teyrabth so I let it go. Besides, having a friendly bronzerider basically handing off some marks at cards now and then is a win."
"So he's bad at cards?" M'sar filed that information away for later.
"Now now, I didn't say _that_." H'kami laughed, amused despite himself.
M'sar paused and looked up to study H'kami. "That mean you're good at cards, or do you cheat?"
"You'll find out." H'kami said, innocently. "If you play me."
M'sar's eyes narrowed. "You try to cheat me and you'll meet one of my knives."
On the shores of the Lake, Teyrabth lifted his head and let out a low rumbling sound, not quite a growl.
H'kami raised both hands in a placating gesture. "Hey, hey, whoa, it's all right, all in good fun!" He said. "Easy, handsome, I'm not out to rob anyone blind. Can't make friends that way." He added. "Y'know?"
Teyrabth snorted, eyed M'sar, and laid his head down again.
}:Mine says if Yours does not know how to cheat, he will show him a little bit.:{ the older brown told Nazoth.
}:Why is Teyrabth saying his rider will teach you to cheat? Cheating is a bad thing, isn't it?:{ Nazoth said.
M'sar snorted and belatedly remembered he probably shouldn't be threatening a fellow dragonrider. "Don't need no one teaching me how to cheat." He'd been cheating at cards since he was thirteen. "I'd rather fuck you than stab you, so maybe we just skip the cards."
H'kami huffed. "Fair enough." He conceded lightly. "Maybe another time. With rules and just for sport."
He shrugged. "Not looking to put you on your back foot. Just like having fun." Teyrabth’s rider added. "Everyone likes a bit of fun."
"Strip dragonpoker," M'sar said as he relaxed and went back to scrubbing his dragon. "Don't mind too much if you cheat on that, cause we both end up winning anyway."
"Sure." H'kami said easily. "Same to you, by the way. I'm not picky about whose clothes come off first." He gave Nazoth a pat, and kept scrubbing.
"I like to be on top, that good with you?" Anticipation was building in M'sar again.
H'kami smirked at him. "Make it good, handsome, and I'm down for anything." He responded, half flirtatious.
"Oh, it'll be good." M'sar tried not to get too distracted -- he did have to finish washing Nazoth first -- but he couldn't help getting ideas of what he was going to do to the other brownrider.
"I'll hold you to that." H'kami responded, lightly. "Teyrabth will show your Nazoth which weyr's mine."
}:Indeed.:{ Teyrabth told the other brown.
}:Is your ledge big enough for both of us?:{ Nazoth asked. }:I like to be near when he's flying someone.:{
}:My ledge will certainly fit us both.:{ Teyrabth told Nazoth amiably. }:Mine would not hurt Yours, but you are most welcome to join me.:{
}:Of course your rider won't hurt M'sar.:{ The very idea was absurd.
}:Mine would never hurt anyone.:{ Teyrabth agreed. }:He asks if you would like a scritch.:{
}:Oh yes. That would be nice.:{ Nazoth rumbled, turning his head slightly toward H'kami.
H'kami, for his part, chuckled and obliged, reached up to give the eyeridge a good scratching. "There you go, big guy."
"You trying to charm my dragon?" M'sar said with amusement.
"Why not?" H'kami shrugged, amused himself. "If a dragon wants a scritch, they should get one."
"Can't argue with that." M'sar looked at Nazoth fondly for a moment, then he turned to Teyrabth. "How about you? You okay over there?"
Teyrabth’s eyes whirled in contented delight, and he let out a soft rumble, settling lower on the shore but stretching his head and neck out toward M'sar.
H'kami huffed, amused. "He says he wouldn't mind a good scritch, if you're obliging." He relayed to the other brownrider.
Smiling, M'sar waded toward Teyrabth and reached up to scratch an eyeridge. "I'm not gonna hurt your rider," he murmured. "My temper just got the better of me."
Teyrabth rumbled, again, and lowered his head to the easiest scritch angle, one faceted eye regarding M'sar with slow contented swirls of blue and green. A moment, and he nudged into M'sar just a little bit.
}:Tell your rider that all is well.:{ he requested of Nazoth. }:And that Mine apologizes for misunderstanding. He enjoys playing on levels, and thought Yours might too.:{ Teyrabth relayed.
When Nazoth passed on the message, the corner of M'sar's mouth curved up. He turned to H'kami and said, "I was Holdless. You don't cheat a Holdless."
H'kami slid him a sidelong glance in return. "... That so?" He asked. "... Huh. Fair enough." He added. "Didn't _mean_ to make you mad, handsome, if that helps." He offered after a moment of consideration.
"I really only care about the having fun part. Promise not to cheat. I mean, unless we've both agreed to it beforehand?" He gave one of his easy grins. "I'm Holdbred. Well. Sort of. Grew up in a Weyr, so it's pretty hard to offend me."
Holdbred, huh? Interesting. M'sar gave Teyrabth another good scratch and then patted him before wading back toward his own dragon. "Well, let's get this big guy all scrubbed so we can get to the fun part."
