K'reyel

K'reyel

"Mai?" K'reyel entered their weyr. "You here?"

Mai was there. She was feeding Tero from a plate of meat scraps and arranging flowers with her hands in between feedings. A towel lay in her lap, and she was humming softly. She had had a good day, and she and K'reyel had been getting along well enough, despite the problems with his brother, and his father being a .. well. father again!

"That sounds nice," he said softly. He didn't really want to disturb her, be he wanted to talk.

Hearing K'reyel come in, she belatedly said "Here, love.. ", her humming stopping so she could smile at him as he appeared beside her. Tero was sitting on the back of the chair next to hers, perched carefully and still chewing a piece of meat. The flowers finished, she stood up to greet her Weyrmate.

"Thank you, love. Perhaps I'll sing for you later, hmm? It's a new song." Making sure she wiped her hands, she wrapped her arms around his waist. "How was your day?"

"Good," he replied, as he embraced her. "But I've been looking forward to coming home to you all day."

Mai couldn't help it, her smile widened and warmed and she pressed her lips to her weyrmate's. A deep, slow kiss. "I always look forward to you coming home to me, love. It hasn't been all _that_ long since we decided to do this!" She laughed softly, but her eyes were dark with all sorts of emotions.

"You see, there is something I wanted to say to you," he began, before bending his head to kiss her. "Something that starts like this."

Mai laughed, low in her throat, and responded to his kiss with her arms tightening around him and pressing up against his toned body. She loved that about him. She thought, for only a moment, that it was nice not have children running around their Weyr at the moment, so she could pay some seriously needed attention to her weyrmate. "Hmm.. " she murmured aloud. "That is a conversation that is long overdue.." And she started tugging him toward the couch, though in his mood it might be the table!

"Indeed," he murmured as he allowed her to lead him to the couch. His fingers felt for the fastenings of her blouse, driven by a need to get closer to her.

She helped him along, pulling his tunic over his head so they could touch skin to skin. In between kisses, she asked softly, "Hmm... you didn't lose a flight did you? I didn't hear the noise..."

"No," he replied. "I just wanted to be with you." He smiled at her before kissing her once more. "Maybe this time we'll be lucky and make our own baby."

Mai smiled at that thought. "I'd love to have your baby, K'reyel...although right now I'm more concerned with having you." She kissed him again, a little softly, but smiled as she worked her way down his neck. "Let's keep trying until we do..."

"Oh, I can be very trying," was his reply as he concentrated on pleasuring his weryrmate.

"And tiring.. " she said a couple of candlemarks later when they came up for air, still on the couch. Her smile was the rich smile of a woman in love, who's just been made love to very expertly and wonderfully. "Mmm..
you should come home to me like that more often, bronzerider." She murmured playfully, kissing his fingers.

"As often as you'd like me to," he replied teasingly.

"How about every evening?" She laughed softly, beginning to untangle them from each other. "Perhaps I should feed you and take you to bed, for more tiring activities?" She paused to smile a bit up at him, almost shyly. "Especially if we want to try to have a baby..."

"That sounds like something we would both enjoy," he grinned at her as he finally sat up again. "All though we could always just take the food with us...."

Mai laughed softly, twining her hands with him for a moment before getting to her feet. "I suppose we could at that.... " She considered their dinner and decided it could be transported to the bed.

She started to do just that, a little wobbly in the legs yet from their time on the couch. As she moved, she said softly, "Is now when we should be trying for a child again, love?" She asked, a little tremor in her voice. This was a sensitive subject because of his father and Ciara expecting.

"Is there ever a good time?" he answered. "We could put it off for ever and never be lucky."

Mai nodded slowly, considering. "And I am getting on in turns..." she said with a faint smile. "You have an old woman for a weyrmate, bronzerider.."

"You are not old," he replied. "And even when you are, I'll still love you, and our children will too." The Harper grinned happily. "Mmmm... and I will still be _loving_ you..
" And she suited actions to words by leaning up to kiss him deeply, and with a purpose. "Were we saying something about the bed?" She whispered in his ear. "We were," he replied as he rose and took her hand. "Our bed, together."

Mai let him lead her to bed and pulled him down, saying softly, "Our children.. lets start making some.. "

Dinner could wait! They had a baby to make, and if not that, practice at least.
