Description: Az'uka and D'nev catch up while feeding their dragons
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 13, day 1 of Turn 3

Az'uka gave Nilzuth a pat as he walked past the dragon on his way out of his weyr. **Time to get you feed my friend**

}: I was beginning to worry you'd forgotten :{
**Not likely** He returned to the dragon as the two of them made progress towards feeding pens.

Shoglenth circled around the pens before pouncing on a poor unsuspecting herdbeast. The rest of them scattered as the blue neatly devoured his meal.

}:Perhaps one more,:{ He said to his rider who was stood watching by the fence.

**Enjoy it my friend.**

Az'uka leaned against one of the posts at the side of the feed pens as he watched Nilzuth; as the blue dragon swept back his wings and dived, striking down a Wherry. He began to feed on it and his rider gave a small sigh. **Not exactly neat are you?**

}: I'm hungry ... :{ The dragon replayed by way of reasoning
**So I see**

D'nev recognised his wingmate leaning against the fence and waved.

**You have competition my friend** He teased Shoglenth.

}: There's plenty, and I'm sure Nilzuth knows. In fact I'll tell him :{ Az'uka looked up and spotted D'nev waving at him and made his way over to the fellow bluerider. "Morning D'nev" **Try not to compete my friend**

Nilzuth looked up from the finished Wherry }: Competition? Hardly; there is enough to feed all the Weyr. Shoglenth says so too :{ He replied before taking flight again, looking for his next feed.

"Az'uka," D'nev nodded. "Nice day for it."

He smiled "You've got that right" Leaning against the fence watching the dragons feed "How have you been D'nev?"

Nilzuth took down a herdbeast and continued to eat his fill.

"Not bad at all, watching my little girl drill."

Az'uka smiled; he'd remembered that "It must make you proud watching her go through the paces knowing that she Impressed a Gold"

"I'd have been proud of her whatever. Whether she'd Impressed or not. She deserves that."

"Of course" He returned. ** I believe I over stepped my bounds**

}: Not to be too blunt on the matter, but yes, you better find words to make amends :{ Nilzuth advised his rider looking up form the half eaten herdbest "D'nev, I'm sorry if I implied..."

"No offence taken. It's just she'd stood so many times before."

Mentally Az'uka shifted his feet, as if weighing his next reply. "Do you ever get the idea that we're all lucky in our won way, that Pern seems to find a place for each and everyone of us..." He was musing out loud more than anything, but it seemed to fit.

}: I have you, I don't need luck :{ Nilzuth added his two marks worth, returning to his kill.

"You mean that those of us who impress were born to do it?" asked D'nev.

"Uh..." He gave a sheepish grin "Looks like I talked myself into a corner, I'm not sure, I mean ..." Flustered he racked a hand through his un-kept hair. "... in the case of dragonriders, maybe, I mean after all they chose us, but that is no reason to see any other type of life as unlucky ..." **sometimes, I confuse myself**

"I didn't say that any other life was unlucky, just that perhaps if the dragon for you happens to be there at the time when you are by the sands, then it's meant to be and nothing would stop that."

Az'uka smiled "True, very true" **I must be lucky then, getting there on time for you my friend**

}: I'm done :{ announced Shoglenth, sounding very satisfied.

"He's finished, so I think we'll head back."

Az'uka cast an eye over to where Nilzuth was still feeding. "It looks like he's going to devour the rest of that herdbeast in a slow manner" He referred to the fact his dragon seemed to be taking his time. Turning back to D'nev he smiled, "I'll see you around then D'nev"

"No doubt you will."

"Of course"
