The weyr seemed empty. Big and empty, thought K'sedel as he settled back on his couch. Who would have thought that he could come to feel this way so quickly. It had struck him like a thunderbolt really, the way his heart leapt when he looked at her.
Maybe it was the red hair, so long... It was worth the time he could spend unpinning it...
}:You are thinking of Ellanith's again,:{ observed the bronze from his ledge. }:She makes you happy.:{ It was a simple statement from the bronze, but true. Ciara did make him happy, very happy.
}:There is room for Ellianith here.:{ Now that kind of startled K'sedel, **You wouldn't mind if I asked her and Ciara to live here, with us?**
}:No.:{
**Would you call her then?**

"You summoned me, Weyrleader?" Ciara teasingly asked as she entered his weyr, coming to sit beside him on the sofa. Leaning over she kissed him lightly on the mouth.
He responded to the kiss, taking her in his arms and holding her close for a moment. "Well I had some help from that big dragon of mine..." He grinned at her, aware that he must look younger than any of his children right now.
"He thinks I should ask you a question..."
A brow rose. "Oh? Does he? And what question would that be, love?"
"A very important question," he teased.
She wrinkled her nose at him before grinning, inching closer. "Are you going to ask me then?"
"If you want me to," he pulled back from her embrace, watching her for a moment. "Ciara, would you... Would you like to move in here with me and Nikornath, as my Weyrmate?"
The greenrider blinked, at first not quite believing her ears. Then a slow, delighted smile spread across her lips. "Faranth, Kes, of course I would!"
"I mean it," he began. then realisation of what she had said sank in. "You said yes!"
"I did," she chuckled, moving in close to kiss his lips. "Why wouldn't I, hmm?" Especially since she had been hoping he'd ask for some time now...
There was always a hint of doubt whenever this kind of question was asked.
When he'd asked Naishea to marry him, Meree to move in with him as a weyrmate. She'd had to be asked twice. "I don't know why you'd say no, but I thought you might want to be persuaded."
Ciara sat back and gave him an impish grin, looking suddenly much younger than her thirty-some Turns. "Would you rather me take back my answer?
Because, you know, I can... Persuasion, I've learned, can be quite enjoyable..."
"I don't want you to take it back, but I could persuade you, if you still want me to," he suggested.
"Well...persuade me then. Woo me with your words and those hands of yours..." A slender brow arched expectantly.
"Here's how I'll persuade you," he said, before reaching to pull her gently into his arms and kiss her.
She returned his kiss, softly at first, then with a bit more passion. Her hands curled into his tunic as she shifted, moving closer.
That kiss was enough to tell him all he needed to know.
