Some Things Are Better Than Cheesy Things

Teseada

Looking out over the river bluff they had landed on, Y'nub cast a sideways glance at his companion and hoped that she approved. "Is this to your liking? I know a few more places we could go if you'd prefer?"

"It's perfect," she breathed taking in the sight around her.
"Beautiful."

He gave a quick grin, pleased with himself for having guessed an atmosphere she would enjoy. "Yes... you are." It was cliche he knew, but it applied to the moment, and she probably hadn't heard it too many times before.

She blushed a little. Cliché it might be, but apart from her parents, nobody had called her beautiful and sounded like they meant it. "You, you don't mean that," she said.

"Now why wouldn't I?" he asked as he took her by the waist and pulled her close to him, "You have one of the prettiest smiles on all Pern."
He bent down and gave her a playful kiss to emphasis his point.

**He must mean it**, ran through her head as she returned his kiss.

}:Of course he does,:{ replied Onnyth, }:Listen to what he and I tell you.:{ Y'nub released Teseada, satisfied that she believed him. "Now that demanding bronze of mine wants the picnic blankets removed. I think he wants to go show off for Onnyth." He gave her a wink and then turned to remove their picnic items from the fidgety dragon.

"I bet he does," she grinned, watching as he removed a hamper and a couple of blankets followed by the straps.

}:Me too,:{ ordered her gold.

He felt more than saw the two dragons leave, the wind generated by their wings hampering his efforts to lay out one of the blankets. The other blanket he left folded at one end, just incase they needed it later. He kneeled down on the blanket and gave it a *pat pat* in invitation before starting to unload the goods in the hamper.

She came to sit down next to him. "Did you manage to get some of those cheesy things?" she asked as she settled herself.

"Would I let you down?" he asked with a grin as they were in fact the next thing he pulled out.

"I didn't think you would," she said. "Meat rolls too?"

He lifted out some redfruits and then below them were her meatrolls.
"Are the spicy nut ones okay? They had some of the sweeter ones they served for breakfast, but these were hot."

"Perfect!"

Y'nub set out the rest of the food, supplies, and the full bottle of wine. "I know it's a bit much, but I figured what we didn't eat now, we could snack on later."

"I feel like we could stay here always, it's so pretty here."

He sat down next to her and put his arm around her waist as he looked out at the river and spotted the two dragons floating along. "I don't know about _always_, but we can come back here whenever you want." It was important to him for her to think that this wasn't just a one time outing together.

"Really?" She looked up at him, wanting him to kiss her. That would just make this perfect, really perfect.

"Really." he assured as he bent down and gave her the kiss her face had wordlessly asked for. He liked that she was so open, it was much preferred over the coy, secretive personalities he usually had relations with.

It was so nice to be wanted, thought Teseada as the kiss finally broke.
Nobody had ever treated her like this before, gone to all this effort.
It was hard to believe it, but she was here, with a nice attractive man who wanted her for being her. "Do we," she began hesitantly, "do we have to eat now?"

He cocked his brow at her, not quite believing she was asking what he _thought_ she was asking. "There's nothing here that can't wait awhile if you want to do something _else_." he said with a smile as he brushed his fingers around the side of her face.

She steeled herself to ask, but she knew she would have to at some point before Onnyth rose. "Would you, help me with something?"

"Name it." He said with another gentle but quick kiss.

"I, I need to, to be with someone, before she rises. Would you?"

Y'nub was a bit surprised that she hadn't had sex before, especially with her growing up in the weyr; but she wasn't what could be called a classic beauty, so it made some sense. "Of course I will," he replied with another kiss, this one a bit longer. "It would be an honor."

"Thank you," she said, not knowing if it was appropriate or not, but it sounded like it should be.

He silenced her with another kiss, "You quit that. You have nothing to be thanking _me_ for. Your first time is special and I'm glad you feel you can share that with me."

"Are you sure you don't want to eat first?" he asked with a tease as he looked out at the spread of food occupying the blanket. "It looks mighty tasty... and we'll need then energy!"

"I, I think I'm ready now."

That was all the encouragement he needed as he flashed her another grin before hopping up to get the other blanket. He sent a quick note to his bronze while he was laying it out for him to stay down at the river.
A new soft place ready, he watched as she started to scoot over onto it and then joined her, giving her another gentle kiss.

She lay down. "You'll have to help me."

Y'nub felt a slight twinge of guilt at being her first, but figured she had to do it eventually, and he would take good care of her. "Just relax. If you don't like something I'm doing or want to stop, just let me know okay?"

"I trust you," she said. "You won't hurt me."
