Location: Dolphin Hall
Date: month 13, day 8 of Turn 3
Notes: Follows 'A Little Liquid Mishap'

X'amor had put on one of his nicer tunics, it was a shade of yellow that brought out the strange amber color in his eyes well. His trousers were grey and his boots a light brown. His shirt and pants, each, accentuated his muscular body well. He wasn't used to wearing such things, keeping them for special ocassions, but he had had few of those lately.

His decision to stop hiding in the shadows buoyed his confidence though as he made his way to the Dining caverns where he would meet the Dolphinner that pulled him out of the water earlier that day.

Jenasie had spend what might have been candlemarks, getting ready, but then again she hadn't really count, or checked. She gotten all of the important stuff out of the way first, like thanking Zarias for this morning, again, panicking for most of the afternoon and making sure her troublesome flit was fed. She rolled her eyes seeing the little beast had fallen asleep on her pillow. She ignored it, taking one last look at herself in the mirror. Ok I guess I look presentable, she decided, using her brother's words. She looked again and smiled, at least her hair was behaving. She realized she was cutting it too fine and headed out and up the track to the Weyr at a run, sure it was only half a candlemark away but it felt longer than that.

Through some miracle the dolphineer had managed to find some, what might be called dresser clothing, nothing to fancy though, well not in her opinion. She managed the find the long green skirt which she'd borrowed from Supaka and found a white shirt to go with it, and white sandals, which she'd forgotten to throw on. She gave a frustrated sigh as pegged it as I'll laugh it off later thing as she was now half way there, If Chino was awake she could have sent the flit back for them a little chirp in her ear made her look up to see the firelizard, he had her shoes. She smiled and hugged him. "You are good sometimes Chino" She pulled them on and gave him a pat. "you coming then?" He tilted his head to one side as if to think about it as Jenasie continued up the path.

Upon reaching the Weyr, she was taken back by its size, she'd been this close but hadn't been in yet, so she stood there, looking more than a little lost. "Well this is embarrassing."

Half way to the Dinning cavern X'amor realized that Jenasie might not know her way so he called his blue to him and they flew over the Weyr to the outside where those going to and from the Dolphin Hall entered the Weyr. He saw the Dolphineer looking up at the Weyr and with a smile asked his blue to land.

Feeling awkward in his dressclothes on his dragon he got off and arranged his clothes so that there weren't any wrinkles. Then he made his way to the awed dolphineer, "I didn't think to ask you if you knew you're way to the Dining Cavern. Horrible mistake on my part. It'll never happen again, I swear." He reached her and taking both her hands in his, he kissed each.
Still holding her hands in his he looked at her completely contrite, "Please, I ask your forgiveness for my poor conduct, Jenasie." He almost paused before he said her name, deciding not to say 'my lady' and to at least be less playful, because he in fact was serious.

She raised an eyebrow and attempted mock anger. "Well I should hope."
but it just wasn't working for her as she smiled, **_shards_ he was so handsome and a gentleman too**. "All is forgiven X'amor" She replied using the dragonriders name, it did little to make her feel more at place in the massive Weyr, but it felt good to be able to call someone by name here. She looked at him again, those eyes, and he'd dressed to bring them out too, the faint blush was returning to her face as he kissed her hands. He was going to have to stop that or else they'd never get through the night.

He smiled, she was very cute when she blushed, "Thank you, now which way would you like to go, up and into the Weyr," he gestured to Calodith, "Or through and in?" he gestured towards the ground entrance.

She looked from X'amor to Calodith, he certainly was a charmer, perhaps, no _the_ most charming man she'd ever meet. While it was highly tempting to go a dragonback, as that was one thing she hadn't done. She figured the easier option was just to go through, save dreams for when she had a bit more of her mind about her, came Jenasie's reasoning. Turning her gaze back to the dragonrider she spoke "Through; you hardly want Calodith thinking he has become a transport service". It was said with a joking smile on her face as she waited for the reaction of the dragonrider in front of her.

Calodith cocked his head to the side as he waited, }:You know she's right don't you, I'm much more than a transport service, I'm a _living_
_fire-breathing_ transport service.:{ X'amor smiled at his dragon and told Jenasie what he said, and shrugged, "What ever you wish Jenasie. It's been a while actually, since I walked in this way, so it'll be an adventure for us both." He gave his dragon permission to go, and watched him take off to go sun himself on his weyrledge.

Jenasie tried not to laugh, she just smiled when X'amor relied his dragon's comment for the dolphineer. She watched the dragon take flight and find a ledge of sun himself on **just like Chino**. Shed back to face the rider at his comment. "A while, hmmm.. I hope you don't plan on getting us lost then" She teased him. "It could be kind of embarrassing to ask for directions in your own Weyr" She paused "As for an adventure, _that_ I can handle."

X'amor's eyes sparkled at her comment, "Oh, I don't plan on getting lost.
Like any one who had a near death experience, I'm hungry." He offered her his arm for her to take and led her into the Weyr.

He knew exactly where he was and first took her straight through the Weyr and out into the Weyrbowl. He had always enjoyed walking the perimeter, watching the many going-on's of the Weyr right there before him. There were dragonettes as well as dragons bathing in the Weyrlake, there were Wings practicing in the sky. Many dragons could be seen catching the last rays of the sun on their ledges, mates curled up next to each other. Music could be heard coming from the Harper Hall's numerous harpers practicing all over the Weyr, most likely for the Turns End celebration.

She caught sight of his eyes when they gave that spark. Then smiled at his comment on near death experiences, surely. She went a bit white early when she realized what would have happened if she hadn't saved him. She shook a little, throwing off that awful thought again.
Jenasie caught sight of the dragonettes, among the dragons of the Weyr, and caught herself wondering if the young riders had ever seen themselves becoming drgaonriders. The music from the Harper Hall had her smile. "It must be a busy time for year for the Harpers with some many end of Turn events planed" She mused out load.

"Yeah there's going to be a dragonrider performance as well; for those of us are trained in harpering. It should be an interesting Turns End celebration." They continued along for a few steps and he spoke again, "You should come to the Weyr for Turns End. I would enjoy having you here with me. I'm not that bad of a dancer, if you can believe that."

The dolphineer raised an eyebrow at him, she wouldn't have pegged him as harper, at lest not without seeing his knots, as for dancing she smiled. "I can believe that, even though it appears I only have your word to go on" She kept in step with him as they crossed the Weyrbowl.
"The Turns end is always interesting" **especially when spent with friends**

"Well, it'll have to be only on my word until you dance with me. But that means that you'll have to come to find out." He ended his sentence in a tone that sounded like he was asking a question. They had reached the Dinning cavern and were looking into the crowd of dragonriders, harpers and lower cavern occupants.

If Jenasie had thought that meal times at the Hall where busy then she'd never been to a Weyr; well that was at least half true. there was certainly a large crowd. "I see and as the word of a dragonrider its honorable, but you're right, I might just have to see for myself." the last part was said in a teasing manner, even though the idea of being invited to something such as a Turns End celebration at the Weyr worried her a little, just what did one do with all these people?

X'amor smiled at her teasing and taking advantage of the situation, put his arm around her waist to guide her through the crowd. It was also a way of showing that she was with him incase any wine-filled riders tried to, ignorantly, make it otherwise. Once they reached the buffet of food available he let her go, slowly, so that he might serve himself. He picked some of his favorites, suggesting some as he went. He picked a few things that he had never tried before as well, the need to experience life before it ended still fresh in his mind.

"If we're lucky I might be able to convince the cook to give us some bubblies. I smelled some being cooked earlier." He infact had specially requested the cook make some for him and his date, compensating her fairly, when he had returned from the beach earlier that day.

She almost shuddered and weakened at the knees at his touch **get a grip of yourself **she scolded. Even that close to blushing the Dolphineer caught the occasional sideways glance that a dragonrider who was bordering on that having too much to drink would slip her. Staying close to her escort she listened to his amble over the food, reaching over at one point and stealing one of his favorites off his plate.

"Been training your nose as well as your dragon?" Jenasie joked when she referred to the fact he'd mentioned the bubbly pies. In fact the idea of bubblies brought a smiled to her face again, she loved them and used to spend many hours trying to steal them as a child.

X'amor grinned when she stole a piece of tender wherrymeat off his plate, "No, my nose has always been particularly sensitive to sweet smells,"
he winked playfully to her before he grabbed a pitcher of fresh juice and two mugs. "Ready to find a place to sit?"

She raised an eyebrow in question over his statement on sweets, resisting the urge to chuckle. Jenasie stood a little on her toes, even though she was already tall, trying to see over all the movement in the cavern. "Hmmm, well that sounds like the biggest challenge so far" there was a faint joking tone in her voice as she said it.

X'amor nodded with a smile, "I think I see a table over there," he pointed to a corner of the cavern that was filled with a few smaller tables for more private dining. He let her take his arm as he made his way through the crowd to the far corner to the table. He noticed another couple making there way in the same direction, and sending Jenasie a look, hurried their efforts.

The couple saw their increased speed towards the table and hurried forward as well. Luckily for X'amor and Jenasie a drunken brownrider stumbled and fell in front of the other couple just before they reached the table. X'amor hurriedly closed the distance to the table and plopped into a chair smiling and slightly out of breath, it took all his control not to just burst with laughter.

When he plopped into the chair she sent him a cheeky grin and lowed a little, making her way over at a deliberately slow leisure, chuckling to herself all the while. Jenasie slid into the chair opposite him and shot him a look that read I can't believe you made a lady run, then she did laugh, here she was toying with a bluerider she'd only met that morning. She managed to compose herself and sat there, leaning back a little a huge grin on her face "Sorry" She explained "It seems my sense of humor has made its twisted self present..."

X'amor just grinned. He hadn't minded watching her make her way to the table, it gave him a reason to admire her without being too forward. "Well I didn't want us to loose the table, I didn't care if you made your way over here slowly, just as long as I had secured to table and could have a nice view." He shrugged, "It's a mighty nice feeling having a beautiful young woman make her way to you with such a gorgeous smile, especially one with a good sense of humor." His eyes twinkled as he poured her a mug full of juice, that he had surprisingly not spilled.

A soft round of laughter rose in her throat as she slid into the chair next to him. "Well then it's clear that you weren't on the receiving end my jokes when I was younger," came her faint musings, she'd often been told that as a child she as a real trouble maker.
She smiled at him again, She'd paused to check him out at lest more than twice this evening already and almost caught herself doing it again, but refrained. "And its just as nice to being able to walk over and sit down to eat with a very handsome dragonrider" She commented as here eyes faintly fixed on the glass he was pouring the juice into, still trying to stop herself from staring at him.

X'amor smiled as he watched her focus on the cup. He set down the pitcher and considered what to do for a few moments. Then he leaned a bit and putting his fingers under her chin and raised her head so she had to look at him and said quietly, "Don't hide those beautiful eyes from me." His voice was sweet, almost begging as he looked at her.

As he brought her head up she gazed at him, a dreamy gaze almost, faint longing hidden beneath the joy that danced in her bright green eyes. "That was not my intention," she whispered back, "I don't think I could hide anything from you". Her voice had dropped even lower as if what she'd said was a secret. The whole while though, Jenasie kept her eyes trained on his, they where just as brilliant as the rest of him.

X'amor was surprised by the tone in her voice. The lower register of her words sent excited chills through him, and the bright joy in her eyes intrigued him. The sudden need in him for her made it very difficult for him not to get up and take her away to his weyr, he wanted her to be the one to initiate such an action. He didn't want to over step his boundries, even if she was from a more openminded craft she could easily not think it appropriate for him to do something so rash. "I'm not so sure about that Jen." he didn't even notice that he had called her a pet name.

She blushed again, finding herself still locked with his eyes.
Shards! I'm going to regret this, she thought as he leaned closer and took a daring move on her half and kissed him, it was light and quick. It caused her to blush more and she almost froze and pulled away from him at the same time. ** _What_ was she thinking!?**

X'amor was surprised by her quick kiss but didn't let that keep him from doing something in turn. He let his hand, that was hovering where her chin had been move to the back of her head. Slipping his fingers through her hair he gently but quickly pulled her lips back to him for a more intimate kiss.

When their lips parted, their faces still close, he smiled and whispered, "Now _that_ I'm sure about."

Her blush deepened when he responded and kissed her back, heating her lips with a passionate kiss. She found herself kissing him back and almost wishing it had continued when he let her go and whispered, she gave a flirtatious smile and whispered back, "better not ruin you dessert," gave a gentle hint as she leaned back a little, watching him and waiting for the fire in his eyes.

His eyes and need for her _flamed_. He hadn't been sure she would have responded so intensely to him, and knowing she wanted him was enough to make him forget his meal. "I'm not sure I want to wait for dessert..." his voice was more deep and husky as proof.

Jenasie's eyes gave a playful glint as she stood slowly, pushing her chair back behind her and leaning over and taking his chin light with a single finger she kissed him. Pulling back her lips brushing against his as she whispered again "Neither do I"

X'amor had never felt this way, but the kiss and the tauntingly sweet whisper was almost to much for him. It was all he could do to not pull her over the table and into his arms. "Come to my weyr Jen?" he asked almost pleadingly. He didn't understnad how all the feelings he had happend so fast. It all had happened much diferently than he had anticipated. Of course he had thought of the possibility of her staying the evening with him, but had figured it a far off dream. He had thought he was going to have to take it slow with Jenasie. He'd been wrong. **I guess that's part of "living life to it's fullest."**

By Faranth, She had no idea where all these feelings, these wants these needs where coming from but she wanted him, denying him wasn't an option, not with that discreetly pleading voice. Her brother had once told her that life was all about living on the edge, well she was ready to find that edge. Although a night with a dragonrider had always been a childhood dream, nothing more and now that she was faced with that reality it wasn't as daunting as she dreamed, it felt so right. "you'll have to lead the way," She told him, her voice heated merely by being so close to him He was up without hesitation. He picked up his plate and gestured for her to get her own, "We might get hungry later." he explained. Once she had her plate in hand he put his arm around her waist and wove them in and out of the crowd and up through the halls to his weyr.

Once they were inside he motioned to a small table for the plates and then pulled her to him once both their hands were free.

She let him draw her close as she set her plate down as directed, then turning in his arms she looked up at him, that gentle flirtatious grin crossing her face again as she kissed him again, one hand wrapped his neck, the other reaching around his hip. "Somehow I doubt that," she intoned in a whisper and let him lead the way to his weyr.
