You Did What?!?

Description: Karri and Teseada disagree about Y'nub.

Date: month 1, day 13 of Turn 4

Teseada

"You did what? After the way that tunnelsnake treated you the other night you _slept_ with him!" Karri couldn't believe her ears. What was her friend thinking!

"He explained it all," said Teseada calmly. "She'd just split up with her weyrmate and had had too much to drink. Said he and a brownrider took her back to her weyr to make sure she was okay."

Karri just looked at her. "And you believed him? That woman was all over him and he seemed more than happy with the attentions to me!"

"He said he was just trying to let her down gently."

She pursed her lips, not sure what she could say to change her friends mind. She was going to buy into his story no matter what she said.
"Look, I don't care about whether or not he slept with that other woman, this is a _Weyr_ for Faranth's sake; what I don't like is the way he dismissed you and disrespected you. He couldn't have had a witty excuse for _that_."

"He apologized and said he was sorry. I trust him."

That was her mistake right there, but since Teseada wasn't listening what more could she say? "I hope you know what you're doing." she sighed, resigned.

"I do, I think, I think he really cares for me."

Karri wanted to believe that Teseada was right about Y'nub, but she just didn't believe it. She'd seen enough womanizing riders in her time at the weyr to be wary of duplicitous behavior. "I hope so.
Maybe he'll join us down at the lake sometime and I can get to know him a bit?"

"I think you'd really like him once you get to know him. There's a lot more to him than the front he puts on for people. He's really sensitive."

The greenrider just shrugged, "If you say so."

"His is, really."

"Like I said... If you say so!" Karri just wanted to drop the issue, Teseada was going to see what she wanted to see in the man, and no amount of reasoning on her part was going to change that.

"And when we're alone..." Teseada was just longing to talk to someone about that side of things. It was proving to be such a good experience, so worthwhile.

Karri just sighed, resigning herself to whatever Teseada was going to drag her along for. "And when you're alone...?"

"He's..." She whispered something in Karri's ear, aware that it was vaguely scandalous.

The girl felt her cheeks heat and redden slightly, except for her one "learning" experience with U'kaiah, Karri had almost zero experience with anything sexual, especially when it came to various positions. "Well that sounds like it could be interesting." she admitted. "It was," replied Teseada. "And something I'd like to try again."

"Well at least he's giving something to the relationship!" Cause Karri really didn't think he was good for much else.

"I really like him. He's good to me and for me."

Karri sighed inwardly, there she goes again... "So you've said."
