Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 1, day 20 of Turn 4

The knock at his door startled B'vin but he made no move to answer it. Instead he just continued to lay in his bed, assuming whoever it was at the door would go away and he could just continue to wallow in his self hate. After B'ram had left him the day before, B'vin had awkwardly and painfully made his way back up to his weyr. Once in his weyr, he'd proceeded to his toilet and had thrown up. After that, he had applied numbweed to his backside and knees and then started a rotation of laying in his bed crying and limping to the toilet to throw up some more. "I know you're in here, B'vin," D'cal called as he strode across the greenriders room. He stood in the doorway and looked down at the greenrider in his bed. "I guess this means it didn't go well yesterday, huh?"

He wasn't that surprised when D'cal walked into his room, if _anyone_
was going to even _bother_ to check up on him, it would be D'cal. "I don't remember inviting you in." B'vin stated flatly, not bothering to look at the bluerider. D'cal shrugged a shoulder and leaned his head against the door frame. "I know you never invite me in when things aren't going well. I just wanted to see you and make sure you're all right."

"I'm fine." he lied as he threw the sheet over his head so D'cal couldn't see him. "Now go away." "I bet mine was as bad as yours," D'cal sighed as he made his way over to the bed and kicked his boots off.

The greenrider pulled the sheet off his face when he heard the sound of his boots hitting the floor. "What do you think you're doing?" he asked sourly. "Please, B'vin, don't be mean," the bluerider said as he crawled onto the empty spot beside him. "I really can't take it today."

For a moment, B'vin wanted to sink against the bluerider, to take comfort in his presence. Instead he moved to scoot to the edge of the bed, to be as far away from D'cal as he could. The movement caused a shot of pain to course through his leg, the numbweed must have worn off, and B'vin yelped before he could silence it. "Just go away D'cal, I don't want you here." he knew the pain was evident in his voice, but he couldn't help it. "Shards, if one more person kicks me out of their room..." D'cal took the hint. He rolled back to the other side and began slipping on his boots, trying not to take it personally. It was B'vin, after all, and he just got like that with everyone. It wasn't personal... Too bad that thought didn't make him feel any more wanted.

"I never invited you _in_ in the first place. It doesn't count." his tone wasn't anymore friendly, but B'vin's want for wallowing was diminished slightly. He didn't _really_ want D'cal to leave, but part of him blamed D'cal for Aosorath not winning Serenth's flight; and for causing the injuries and rejection he received from B'ram. "Yeah, that makes it all ok. So not only am I not welcome now, I never was. Sure, B'vin, that makes it all ok." Shards, were those tears stinging his eyes?

Why was _he_ so mad at _him_? He's not the one who can't walk straight, he's not the one with deep bruises around his knees. He's not the one who was used and then tossed aside and looked at like he was a freak! "Just so we're clear." he finally got out, his throat was clamped so tight it was hard to even attempt to talk. The bluerider violently pulled his pant legs over his boots. "Oh, it's crystal clear."

D'cal's movements on the bed shook B'vin's sore body and he tried to bite down another yelp. Part of him just wanted D'cal to hold him, to tell him everything would be alright, that he was normal and that there was nothing wrong with him. The other part of him never wanted to see D'cal again, never wanted him to caress his skin, never wanted him to encourage him to make friends or to trust people. Being alone was better he finally decided, not calling out to stop D'cal as he headed for the door out of the weyr. Before D'cal came into his life he was just fine, being alone was just fine. He would be just fine now too, being alone was better. Wasn't it?
