Larweth landed on Onnyth's ledge and gave the queen a quick nuzzle in greeting as Y'nub jumped down off his bronze's back. "Teseada?" he said somewhat uncertainly as he didn't immediately see the girl.
"Where'd you go?"
"What!" called Teseada absently as she sprawled on her couch, reading up on a new way to attach the agenothree tanks that she and Onnyth would use during threadfall. "Oh Y'nub! I'm in here."
Y'nub leaned over the side of the couch and gave Teseada a quick kiss.
"Hiding from me?"
"No, just studying this before the next drill."
"Good, because if you were hiding from me I might have decided not to give you the present I just picked up." The bronzerider teased as he held out a small box just out of reach.
"A present!" There was enough of a child left in the young goldrider for her to get excited about the idea of a gift. She stood up and reached for the box.
He loved that she was so excited, and she hadn't even opened it yet.
It was a nice change from the women he'd courted in the past who had _expected_ presents as if they were owed them. "For a very special lady." he said sweetly as she took the box.
"Thank you!" she said as she began to open it. "Oh Y'nub, it's, it's gorgeous."
The bronzerider smiled. He had chosen correctly. "I saw it and thought of you. And I think that little dragon there bears a striking resemblance to Onnyth, don't you?"
"She's just perfect!"
"Here, turn around and I'll put it on for you." When she did, Y'nub placed the dainty necklace around her neck. He made sure the clasp was secure and gave her a lingering kiss at her nape.
"How can I thank you?" Teseada turned to look up at him, a smile crossing her face.
Y'nub shook his head. "You just did. That smile is all I need from you."
She turned to look up at him, "I think I know a way." Standing on tip toes, she kissed him gently.
He returned the kiss and encircled her in his arms, pressing her against his body. He lifted her up and spun her around playfully before setting her down on her feet again. The bronzerider didn't let go of her though, instead he swept her up in his arms and carried her over to the couch she'd been reading on. "Well, I better let you get back to your book." he said with a grin as he plopped her down onto the cushions.
"Or you could stay and help me study..."
Y'nub chuckled, "I _seriously_ doubt you'll get much studying done if I stick around. I can be highly distracting when I want to... and you definitely make me want to."
"Maybe I want distracting?" she teased. "There's more than one kind of learning you can help me with." The bronzerider didn't need any coaxing, he was more than up for the challenge. He leaned down and kissed the young woman, allowing his hand to trail down her side. "Whatever you say..."
