"And you know what else I don't like... his hair!" B'vin explained, now fully drunk, "Is it red, is it brown... and it just kind of sticks straight up in the air!"

Dyaera was slumped against him with her wine bottle abandoned. "I love his hair," she replied mournfully. "It's... nice. And hair. Why does he have to have such nice hair?"

B'vin snorted, "Because he's perfect... Too perfect! He always acts like he knows what's right. His way is the correct way and if you feel differently or act differently then _you're_ wrong!"

Heaving another sigh, she blinked up at B'vin through the haze of alcohol. "I'm always wrong. That's what he thinks. I'm wrong when I sleep with men and I'm wrong when I don't and I'm wrong when I tell _him_ to and I'm wrong when I tell him to sleep with girls... I'm just always wrong."

"No no..." he leaned over and patted her shoulder comfortingly, "You're not wrong, don't believe him. He just doesn't listen to your side of things!" A few days back he would have laughed if somebody had told him he'd be consoling Dyaera, but alot had changed in the last sevenday.

Dyaera sniffled and snuggled a little more comfortably against his side, too drunk to even find the situation unusual. "It's nice _someone_ thinks so. But then, I suppose he does the same thing to you."

"You have no idea..." B'vin squinted his eyes shut as the room started spinning, and leaned his head against Dyaera's for support. "I had a wee too much to drink I think."

"Mmmmm." Dyaera's eyes drifted shut. "I like it. Everything is so warm and fuzzy. I don't think I can stand up, though."

B'vin snorted... well, tried to snort but it ended up more of a half choke that turned into a cough that turned into a laugh before he finally calmed himself down. "Well... before I started all _that_, I was going to ask you why you would _want_ to stand up!"

Dyaera pointed vaguely in the direction of the sleeping chamber. "Because I wanted to find the bed."

"Why didn't you just say so?" He sighed with an exasperated snuff as he stood up, albeit a bit wobbly. "Here, let me help you..." Drunk as she was, Dyaera still gave him a dubious look. "Are you sure you're not going to drop me? You aren't exactly standing up so good yourself, you know."

"I'm strong enough!" B'vin defended as he flexed his muscles. "Come on!" He didn't give her a chance to argue anymore, he scooped her up in his arms and held her small frame close as he stumbled towards her bed. She twisted her arms around his neck and groaned as the room kept tilting even after he stopped moving. "If you drop me, I'm going to hurt you! And you're making the room spin."

"I'll only drop you if you throw up on me." B'vin exclaimed as he concentrated on saying upright as he shuffled forward. Her added weight was throwing off his already uncertain balance. They ended up in a tangle on her bed somehow, and Dyaera groaned in relief as the world finally stopped spinning. "I think this must be too drunk, because if I weren't this drunk, I could have fun." That seemed to make a certain sort of sense.

B'vin would have replied, but the comfort of the bed was too much for him to take. The last thing he remembered before unconsciousness overtook him was snuggling against a rather large and squirmy...
pillow.
