Rizona stopped outside the office she hoped was the correct one. She had been directed to seek out the Headwoman, but the directions had been a little hazy.

Solieira was scanning yet another hide, listing their supplies. At times, it was a difficult balancing act feeding all these Weyrfolk. Her door was wide open, though, and she saw the young woman hesitating out of the corner of her eye.

"Do come in, lass." She said without looking up for a moment. "If you're looking for the Headwoman, you found her. If you're looking for someone else, I'll help you along." She did finally look up, and smile warmly.

Rizona smiled shyly. "I'm Rizona, and I am looking for the Headwoman, I mean, um you. I was just Searched and was sent to find you..." Rizona stepped inside, but hesitated just inside the doorway.

Sol laughed. "Oh child! Do come in. Mind you don't hesitate like that when the eggs begin to crack, or you'll be left on the Sands for sure!
Sit, sit!" She waved her in, and offered an even warmer smile. "My name is Solieira, if they did not tell you. I'll help you get settled here, but first how about some klah? Or juice?"

Rizona hurried to the seat and settled herself with unconscious grace.
"Thank you Headwoman. I...am a bit thirsty. I am not allowed to drink klah, but juice would be wonderful, please."

Solieira stood up with an ease of movement that showed she was still very _active_ for a woman of her turns, and fetched a fresh pitcher of juice that was still chilled enough to have condensation on the outside. A mug joined the pitcher on the desk, hurriedly made room for in the midst of all the hides. "So tell me where you're from, Rizona? And you've just arrived, yes?" The mug was pushed over to the young woman as Sol reclaimed her seat.

"Yes Headwoman, I just arrived with the Searchrider." She paused, and took a sip of the juice. "My father is a holder inland a little. We work the land."

"Welcome to River Bluff, Rizona. You'll find the Weyr a bit different than what you're used to, I'm sure. You'll be taking classes to help you adjust, and the Weyrlingmaster and his staff, and myself, are always available to you." She smiled once, then went on. "Take up your mug and we'll go for a walk; if you've just arrived you'll want to get settled in quickly."

Rizona hesitated for a moment, then stood. "The Searchrider told me to tell you that the only things I brought are in this satchel," she said, indicating a small wherryhide bag. "He said that you would get me what I needed to have."

"Ahh! Yes! Well, that will make our first stop the storage rooms. Come with me child, I'll get you some changes of clothes and anything else you might need."

Rizona followed Sol to what appeared to be the largest collection of supplies she had ever seen. Her eyes grew round, but she didn't say a word as she took it all in.

Sol examined Rizona with a practiced eye, and nodded to herself. Mumbles could be heard as she sorted through the stacks of neatly folded tunics.
"Too big..too small.. too.. ugly.." After a bit more, she presented Rizona with a few changes of clothes and a Candidate's robe.

"This should get you started. Make sure you keep the robe neat and near to hand, hmmm?" A wink at the girl, who did seem a bit overwhelmed.

Rizona looked at the bundle of clothing in her arms. This was more clothing than she ever had at one time in her life. "Ah, yes Headwoman, thank you."

Sol smiled at her and then led her back out. "You're all set for now, lass. The barracks for the Candidates are there." She pointed in that direction. "I can show you myself, or you can follow my finger." A chuckle, then she patted her shoulder. "I'll have a list of your class schedule by tomorrow, so stop by after you've had some breakfast, and I'll go over it with you. No time like the present to adjust to Weyrlife, Rizona." Another grin. "And don't worry, you'll be fine."

"I think I can find it. Thank you, Headwoman."
