Teseada

Teseada

"Teseada, are you here about Karri?" Arilanna asked as she saw the woman come in to the nearly deserted infirmary. She didn't know her personally, but everyone knew by now who the youngest goldrider was.

"Yes, yes I am Journeywoman. I heard she fell."

Arilanna frowned, remembering the girl when she had come to the infirmary. "She fell down some stairs. She's got a broken arm, and she'll have a good set of bruises in a day or two, but she protected her head, so she'll be just fine."

"A broken arm?" repeated Teseada. "How did she fall?"

"She was running down the stairs I believe and slipped." Arilanna mused, that girl had a habit of slips and falls now that she thought about it.

"Is she going to be okay though?"

The journeywoman nodded, "She'll be fine."

"Will she be in here long? I mean, will I need to get her some things from her weyr?"

Arilanna shook her head, "She doesn't need anything right now. We gave her some fellis juice to help her sleep, she was quite worked up, and she'll be out till morning. You could come back then and see what she needs."

"Teseada?" Y'nub exclaimed as he entered through the door. "Are you okay? I went to your weyr, but Onnyth told Larweth you were here?"

"I'm fine Y'nub, really I am." She turned to smile at the bronzerider.
"It's not me, Karri, she fell down some stairs and broke her arm."

The bronzerider embraced Teseada, "Don't scare me like that okay? Is your friend going to be all right?" Karri was the one Teseada had said didn't like him, which had worried him somewhat in the beginning... but he didn't wish for any _harm_ to come to her.

"The healers say so, she'll have to stay here tonight. I'll have to go have Onnyth check on her green, make sure she hasn't panicked herself too much trying to work out what's happening."

"I believe U'kaiah and Kalamath are taking care of her dragon."
Arilanna interjected, "U'kaiah's the one who brought her in."

Y'nub smiled down at the goldrider, "There you see, she's fine, her dragon's fine, everything is fine." The bronzerider took her hand and kissed it gently, "Since there isn't anything you can do, why don't we go ahead and have dinner as we planned? If Karri wakes up before morning, I'm sure this healer can call for you."

"Will you?" asked Teseada as she turned back to the healer. "She's my best friend, if anything were to happen to her, I want to know."

"Of course," Arilanna said with a smile, "I doubt I could keep you away once she wakes up. She was asking for you before she fell asleep."

"Will you let her know I came as soon as I could?"

Arilanna nodded, "Does your queen like firelizards? I could send mine to her if she doesn't mind when Karri wakes. That way you don't have to stay pacing in your weyr all night." she added with an eye on Y'nub. He was quite attractive, and if she wasn't so huge with pregnancy, she might have been a bit envious.

"Sounds like a plan to me love!" Y'nub exclaimed. He was eager to get Teseada out of there and into someplace more friendly... and private!

Love - he called her love! "I'll tell her not to chase her off," replied Teseada, inwardly elated at how Y'nub referred to her.

The healer watched as Y'nub took the girl's hand, "If you don't hear from me, just stop by in the morning." Teseada nodded. "If she wakes up, tell her I'll be there soon."
