Moving Mother (1/2).

Writers: Roxanne
Date Posted: 28th February 2007

Characters: C'lor, Br'nick
Description: C'lor asks Br'nick who he needed to talk to about bringing his mother to live at Dolphin Cove.
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 2, day 20 of Turn 4

C'lor hadn't gotten a letter from his mother in a sevenday and she usually wrote him every restday sometimes more often. He loved getting letters from her as they were filled with stories of his siblings and the people she met at Emerald Falls where she was a drudge. He was worried that she would be taken advantage of without his grandmother there to watch over her. Her last letter had sounded more like a young child than a grown woman, but he was used to that. She wasn't very bright and that gave her a very childish outlook on life. She hadn't ever told him who his father was and he truly didn't think she knew or could remember.

He had talked to S'ric about his fears and his friend had suggested that he talk to Br'nick. S'ric thought very highly of Br'nick, but not just because the bronzerider happened to be his father. Br'nick had a very big heart and had adopted children that may not have been his when he had a large brood already. He was also the wingsecond of Hurricane wing and most likely to know who to talk to if he didn't know the answer.

C'lor entered the dining room and spotted Br'nick not far off. He collected his food and headed over to the bronzerider's table. "Can I talk to you about something important, Br'nick?" he asked as he sat across from the man next to a greenrider.

Br'nick nodded. He always welcomed questions and did his best to answer them. He was glad that the young bronzerider was comfortable enough to approach him with important issues whatever they may be.

"I'm worried about my mother. She lives at Emerald Falls and is all alone now that my grandmother has died. I want to see if I could bring her to live here, but I don't know who to talk to?"
