Description: Eilomar finds out hard way what his wife does during the days.
Location: Harper Hall
Date: month 3, day 4 of Turn 4
Eilomar decided to leave home early. He had no more choir practises or apprentice classes to teach today. He did have a pile of hidework to do, but he didn't feel like doing it. Instead he thought to surprise his wife.
She had been in good mood lately. Maybe she had cooked something delicious.
Meanwhile Eilomar walked towards his home, his wife was entertaining a guest.
"I love a woman who knows what she wants," V'lorn grinned up at Ailowyn appreciatively, his shirt now good and out of the way... and probably ripped, but who cared!
"And I love man with initiative and imagination," Ailowyn purred and wrapped herself around him. They hadn't even made it to the bed but who cared!
"Aren't you worried that your husband will come home?" he asked as he slipped her brazier off her shoulders.
"At this time, naah, he is never home before supper," Ailowyn replied, plesantly abstracted.
"Hmmm," he hummed into the skin of her neck, "maybe I should stay for dinner..."
"Mmm, that's the spot...," she murmured. Somewhere back of her mind she heard the door going and heavy steps.
"Ailowyn? Ailowyn!"
"Oh, shards! What he's doing here?" Ailowyn cursed.
"I don't know, is it dinner time so soon?" V'lorn had a feeling the man wouldn't be willing to join in on their fun...
"I came home early 'cause I had no more class..." Eilomar called, then his voice trailled off to stunned silence. He had finally spotted his wife and V'lorn. His face turned ghastly pale.
"Hello, husband. You haven't met V'lorn, have you?" Ailowyn said with bright voice full of hidden venom.
V'lorn took one look at the Master Harper and had absolutely no regrets about his unwillingness to join. No wonder Ailowyn has to get her jollies elsewhere! "It's a pleasure. I've heard so much about you."
Eilomar let out a kind of wordless gurgle. Even he realized what was going on, but it was so hard to comprehend. He felt like a band of iron was tightening around his chest, and it was suddenly so hard to breathe.
"What's wrong Eilomar, you don't look so well," Ailowyn asked, watching his face with curiosity.
"My..heart..." he staggered backwards and his fingers clawing helplessly his chest. Like it would help his heart to beat.
"Has he done this before?" V'lorn asked, his tone uncertain.
"No," Ailowyn said, pursing her lips thoughtfully. "But he is seriously overweight."
Eilomar just knew she was not going to lift a finger to help him. Help was what was he needed, desperately.
"He doesn't ususally look that color, though, does he?" Hey, if she wasn't worried, he wasn't worried... Still...
"Looks like a heart attack. My father was killed by one," Ailowan said coldly.
Somehow Eilomar managed to stagger out from the weyr and to the hallway, before he collapsed. Before he passed out, he heard scream, and someone calling for a healer. His treacherous wife was not going to have the pleasure to see him die yet.
