A rewarding life.

Writers: Roxanne

Characters: Br'nick
Description: Br'nick muses over his life and that of his children during the noon meal.
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 3, day 3 of Turn 4

The drills that morning had been more taxing than usual, but it may just have been the lack of sleep from the night before. He had been up with Braysin in the infirmary last night. Nicosia had come to get him because the young boy didn't want anyone else to comfort him. He loved the fact that he had such a close bond to his children even if that meant he didn't always get a full night's sleep.

His life had taken such a different turn than he had ever dreamed it would. He had a weyr full of children and was a wingsecond in the Weyrleader's wing no less. He had always wanted to follow his father and become a dragonrider, but it had still been a shock when he actually Impressed.

}:You're a good father.:{ Cendarnth assured his rider.

**Thank you. I don't spend too much time with them do I?** he asked as he wanted to make sure he didn't neglect his dragon. Not that Cendarnth would let him do that, but it was always a concern in the back of his mind.

}:No. I am well cared for and have everything I need.:{ the bronze replied.

**Are you sure?**

}:Yes, eat and do not worry about me.:{

**Allright.** he replied and took a sip of his klah. He was glad that Nicosia had decided to be a healer like her mother. The weyr could use another healer especially one with such a gentle manner like hers. Her mother had been a woman that he had spent one or two nights with while she was attending a rotation at the Weyr.

He had several children by women who were not his weyrmate and had no intention of ever becoming his weyrmate. He didn't think that he would ever trust someone as deeply as he had Cyritahn, but he most likely would not love anyone like he had the greenrider. They had three adorable children. The girls both looked like her and he was glad to have a reminder of her in his life. His first love however had been Ayrabraysi's mother. The girl may not be his daughter by blood, but she was always a part of his heart.

Cendarnth was ready for a bath and not shy about letting Br'nick know about it. **Can I finish my meal first?** the bronzerider replied realizing he had been thinking more than he had been eating.

}:Of course, but do hurry. I am all itchy after the drills today.:{ the bronze insisted.

**Are you sure it's not from lying in the sand flirting with greens?** he asked knowing that was one of his bronze's favorite activities as of late.

}:Perhaps, but I do need a bath however I got this way.:{

**I shall be there.** he said turning his attention back to the noon meal.
