Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 3, day 23 of Turn 4
Sol appeared next to U'das just as Treya turned away. Laughter danced softly in her eyes, though a hint of the strong feelings she was developing for this great oaf of a bronzerider tempered the laughter a bit.
Her voice was teasing. "Naughty bronzerider, chasing the poor little greenrider away like that. What if she never recovers from your rejection of her?"
"I don't know?" U'das replied hesitantly and groaned inwards. Great, just what he need, Sol witnessing the whole episode.
Still chuckling, she shook her head. "I suppose we could find someone more her age for her to torment? Hmmm?" She tapped his nose. "She torments everyone, though, U'das. One of the most flighty examples, even for a greenrider, of a dragonrider that I've ever encountered. I'm surprised you fell for her normal tricks!"
"What can I say? I just can't keep my pants on. In this age I should know better," U'das said and spread his hands in helpless gesture.
Sol shook her head at him and made a tsking sound with her tongue.
"Poor pitiful bronzerider. He has a mature, very satisying woman he could sleep with every night, but one little greenrider waggles her fingers in your direction and there you are, off like one of the canines after a female." She laughed. "I just don't know how you stand a life that is that hard!" Her laughter redoubled, her eyes brightly shining. Jealousy was non-existent for her, especially over Treya, who was well-known to chase anyone with a dragon.
"On second thought, maybe you should go after her and apologize. You never know when your pants might need to come off again."
"Uh-huh, I rather stay away from her for now on. As why her, can I plead temporary insanity, or early senility? Or maybe just one ale too many," U'das said.
"If I'd wagered, I'd wager on the ale, love." Her grin was positively wicked.
"Just, next time you get the itch to take those pants off, maybe you should come to see me...if I don't already have company." She winked.
U'das looked sheepish. "I'll do that," he promised.
Sol laughed again, and took pity on him. "Oh, U'das. Everyone falls victim to ale and their pants, and everyone falls victim to Treya too. Especially handsome, older bronzeriders." She leaned up and kissed his cheek, not really caring who saw the Headwoman and one of the Wingleaders in public together.
"Why don't you come and fall victim to me later tonight, hmm?"
"I love to be your victim," U'das murmured with a delighted grin.
Sol's laugh was rich and sure of herself as she smiled gleefully, almost as if she were a woman half her turns. "I'll see you later, then, handsome.
Watch out for young, proddy greenriders." She winked at him and turned to go, heading back to her own work and leaving him to his.
** There was lot to say on behalf of more experienced women,** U'das mused silently.
