Description: Isuel talks with a few of the other hold women about her not
feeling so great.
Location: Garnet Valley Hold
Date: month 3, day 6 of Turn 4
"Isuel, don't worry so much. If something was seriously wrong with
you, I'm quite sure
Kaefen would know." Tarri sat across from Isuel, slowly sipping her
glass of wine.
They had finished up they're duties for the day and the four women:
Isuel, Tarri, Cilani
and Gersha, had met up in the dining hall to enjoy a small snack and
some wine before the
dinner rush.
"Tarri is right," Gersha added, "He would have noticed if it was
something significant.
It's probably just a bug or something.
Cilani sat next to Isuel and was shaking her head. "Pregnant. I still
say you could be
pregnant." The older women had been trying to convince the others that
she was right, or
to even have them admit that she could, possibly, be right.
Isuel had thought about that before confiding in her newly made
friends and new that if
it was true, it was definitely something to be happy about. But, in
the past, her and
Kaefen's attempts to have children were shot down horribly. "I just
have a feeling that
it's nothing like that. But, I am worried." She said, "I've never felt
so exhausted and
I've had the same stomach ache for three days now."
"Then if you are pregnant..." Gersha eyed Cilani, "That is not a good
sign. If you
worried like you say, you need to go and least get checked out. It
could be nothing, but
it could also be a big deal."
Tarri nodded in agreement. "Better safe than sorry."
She knew they were right, she at least needed to get checked out, but
she hated going to
her husband for something simple. He had better things to do than look
over his worrisome
wife.
Cilani nudged her and smiled sweetly. "Dear, stop looking so sad.
Whatever it is, we're
behind you. Just promise us you'll see him today? And don't wait till
he goes to your
rooms tonight."
Isuel nodded, though a bit reluctantly. "I promise." She took a bit
out of a meatroll and
forced a smile. Her stomach ached a bit more, but she forced the food
down, knowing that
not eating wouldn't help her case.
Even though she grew up in the Hall, her mother was holdbred and
instilled in her
daughter the duty of a wife to her husband. It had been 3 turns; 2 and
half too many for
Isuel. In the back of her mind, she was terrified that she may not be
capable of having
children. Her husband's voice echoed between her ears, telling her
that it was okay, that
when the time was right, it would happen. Yet, the time had been right
for a couple of
turns for Isuel.
"I just don't know what I'll do if this turns out badly." She said aloud.
"Don't fret, we will be here." Gersha said assuringly. The woman
reached out across the
table and gently patted Isuel's hand. "Just take care of yourself and
whatever happens,
you have those who love you to turn to."
