Guess what happened at dinner

Description: Teseada and her father D'nev join S'rak for dinner, only to witness Hanni and Y'nub getting bvery close...

Date: month 5, day 10 of Turn 4

Teseada

"You know, it is really nice to get have dinner with you two." S'rak said as he set down his klah mug, "It's been what, a month now?"

"Too long," agreed D'nev. "And as we have such delightful company." He glanced over at his daughter to see how she was taking it. Once she'd have made her excuses and left. Now the young goldrider smiled before agreeing with her father.

S'rak nodded his head, "Most delightful, especially since one would think a young woman would have more interesting company to spend her meals with than two old men."

"How could I turn down dinner with my Da? It's not often that we can manage it these days."

He saw Hanni walk into the cavern and started to wave her over to join them. "Han-" But she had already found a dinner companion that S'rak recognized as an other bronze rider.

"D'enek was right about you," said Hanni to Y'nub. "He said you were good company."

"I aim to please," Y'nub said as he poured the greenrider some wine.
"And it's not hard when one has such a lovely companion."

"Flattery, my dear bronzerider, will get you everywhere." With those words, she leaned forwards and planted a kiss on his lips.

S'rak couldn't help but stare at the two. He knew he had no claim on Hanni, she was just a friend who sometimes shared his bed... but he couldn't completely keep the jealousy off his face.

**The little...** ran through Teseada's mind.

}:Steady,:{ reminded Onnyth as her rider thought bad things. She bespoke Shoglenth, }:Yours should watch his hatchling, she needs him.:{ What was his wingmate doing, thought D'nev as he saw the greenrider with the bronzerider. He could see the look on his daughter's face, and almost didn't need the gentl;e reminder from his blue to place a hand on hers.

"You okay?" he asked of the pair of them.

"Yeah, I--" S'rak started as he turned back to apologize for ignoring the two. When he saw Teseada looking at the two as well he asked, "Do...do you know that bronzerider?"

"I thought I did," she said after a moment. "I thought he was a good one, then I found out he was a liar and a cheat."

S'rak gave the man a harder look this time, he couldn't think up anything about the man except that he rode bronze... Whoever he was, if he was a bad sort he really didn't want him around Hanni. "What did he do to you?"

She glanced at her father before answering, it wasn't something she really wanted him to know, but on the other hand it might help. "I thought he really cared about me, but his friend told me it was a bet that he could get it so that his bronze would win Onnyth's flight because I liked him."

The bronzerider wished he had been surprised, but he knew alot of bronze riders tried to cozy up to queenriders so their bronzes could maybe be favored in flights. "I'm sorry that happened to you Teseada..."

"I'm just glad I found out about it now," she said.

S'rak glanced at Hanni again and saw Y'nub caress the greenrider's side as she playfully pushed him away. "He didn't hurt you did he?" If he harmed Hanni...

"No," she glanced at her father. "He didn't, not in that way, Onnyth wouldn't let him. But he made me think he cared, and that's what did hurt."

The silence that D'nev was exhuding was palpable and S'rak realized this might be a discussion for another time. "Well, lesson learned I suppose, however painful it might have been. I hope it never happens again Teseada."

"Me also," she said, watching as the greenrider got to her feet, and offered her hand to the bronzerider.
