M'galec finally found the woman he was looking for as she emerged from the pantry. "Excuse me, Headwoman, do you have a moment?"

Solieira smiled at the rider who hailed her as she came out of the pantry. She tracked over the new transfers, and he was a bronzerider by his knots, so she knew that could only be one man. "M'galec, isn't it?
Welcome to River Bluff." Her smile was warm, her eyes curious as she looked him over. "I have plenty of time for the riders here." She was wearing an apron over her very smart dress, and her brown hair was piled high atop her head, although she did have a bit of flour on her hands, so she did not offer to shake his hand. Instead, she rubbed her hands on her apron trying to clean them a bit. The bronzerider smiled. "I was told to report to you to get my new Weyr assignment." Sol nodded. "Indeed. I've just the Weyr for you, our new Weyrlingmaster Second, aye? Would you mind following me along to my office, I was a little bit busy taking inventory." He almost suggest that he meet her at her office and give her the chance wash her hands, but she seemed not to notice that she had merely _wiped_
the dirt from her hands back onto herself. The sanitatary Healer gave way to polite dragonrider as she opened the door and invited him inside.
He made sure not to touch the doornob, at least. "It seems as though I had caught you at a bad time. Plese accept my apologies."

Solieira's smile faded a bit at his manner. She had no patience for silliness, and no time. "Bronzerider, the work never stops around here.
Whenever you stop by to visit me, I'll no doubt be busy with the 100 little things it takes to keep you riders in meat rolls and clothes.
This is as fine a time as any." She led the way to her office, pausing to refresh her face and hands with some water in a pitcher along the wall. It was only a little flour, but she did not like handling hides without clean hands. "Have a seat." She waved to an empty chair in front of her very neat desk before joining him there, with freshly cleaned hands. "Thank you," he said as he took a seat across from her. **Well,** he thought as he gave her a nice smile, **If no time is the right time perhaps you are not the person I should be talking to...**

She settled in her own chair primly, all business now. "Here is a map of the available Weyrs. The Weyrling staff generally likes to keep ground-based Weyrs so they Weyrlings can get in to the see them, but here we have a very nice system of steps that you can climb as well, perfect for young Weyrlings." She showed him the map. "Here are three very nice, ranking Weyrs. My staff keep them all clean and ready to move into at a moment's notice, so any of them are ready immediately." She ignored his smile, instead she pulled out another hide, leaving the map with him to peruse. "Here is a list of things I can let you have to outfit your Weyr as of now. When the tithes come in, I often get other things. Or when traders come by with their things." "That would be fine, thank you," the bronzerider replied as he took the list and looked it over. "What is the Weyr's policy for delivering meals in the evening? I will be working the infirmary sometimes and I might need to take my meals when I find time."

"All you have to do is ask nicely, M'galec. We're glad to take care of any one here at River Bluff, and especially those giving their time to help others." "I appreciate that, Headwoman," the bronzerider said with a nod of thanks. "And I don't mean to sound demanding right off the start, but would it also be possible to make arrangements for someone to come to my weyr once a sevenday for cleaning? I have found that left to my own devices it is neglected, especially if I am to be pulling double duty."

Solieira peered at him with narrowed eyes. What kind of rider needed a drudge to clean up after him!? And expected one to? "Perhaps. I will talk to some of the Candidates and see if any of them want to volunteer.
If not, its possible one of the laundry drudges can at least do a bit of picking up for some extra pay. I'll work that out for you." "Thank you. I am not a messy creature by habit, but with being a Weyrlingmaster Second on top of my duties in the infirmary and all the hide work that will come along with both, I doubt I will have the energy to see to it myself. I will be happy to pay the extra."

"We'll see if I can find someone suitable." Her tone leaving no doubt she _would_ find someone suitable. Then she nodded in agreement. "Was there anything else, bronzerider? I can have these things delivered to your Weyr of choice before day's end, if you like." "Whenever is convenient, headwoman," the bronzerider replied as he stood up. "Thank you for your time. I will be sure to find you if I find I need anything else."

Solieira stood up with him, nodding and extending her now clean hands.
"Aye. Welcome to River Bluff, M'galec. I wish you happiness here, and do let me know if you need anything." All business, she shook his hand.
No, she definitely did not like _this_ one!
