Mayex sighed as he lay still on his bed. He could hear a few of the other candidates move restlessly. He jumped when the door was flung open and orders were shouted at them. He quickly dressed and followed the other male candidates out. There was a mess of candidates in the hall and he found himself jostled about. When he entered the hatching grounds he was in the midst of a group of girls. It didn't matter to him. He was mesmerized by the eggs. He only had to wait a moment for the first egg to hatch. He watched with awe as the little brown stumbled his way to his intended. He watched the moment of impression and wished it were himself. He glanced away as another hatched. He watched as yet another impression was made.
He was watching all around him. His heart jumped into his throat as a determined little green started her way toward the group of girls he had found himself in. He was sure she was looking for one of the girls. She inspected the two girls nearest him for one long moment before urning to him with a squeal. }:I am your Enyth:{ She butted him. His heart was suddenly filled with a love so sweet he was afraid it would spill out of him and fill the whole of the grounds. "She says her name is Enyth." }:May I eat now my M'yex. I am ever so hungry.:{ She asked so politely. He smiled as he led the little green away. He watched as she walked. She was beautiful. Her hide was a soft green with a blue tinge to it. Her wing sails had a distinct shade of sea foam green. She was built dainty. And she was his. }:Thank you mine.:{ M'yex chuckled. She had noticed him admiring her and had liked it. He was so happy he wanted to dance, to shout, to let his joy out. }:You can do all that after I eat.:{ She said so matter-of-factly.
