Location: Emerald Falls Hold
Date: month 9, day 2 of Turn 4

The bluerider made sure his lifemate landed far away from the stables.
He certainly wouldn't want to be accused of causing panic among the livestock. D'cal caressed Aosorath's hide lovingly after untying the carefully secured bundle from his riding straps. **I don't know how long this will take. Can you find somewhere to sun yourself?**

}:I will visit with Minath on the heights. You don't need to hurry.:{ the blue assured him. He had become quite a flirt after he had won his first Flight.

**Don't get too comfortable,** his rider grinned as he turned to make his way over to the stables.

"Excuse me," D'cal said to the first man he made out in the dim light once inside. "Do you know where I can find the stablemaster?"

"He's outside on west paddock," the stablehand pointed the direction to the rider. He had seen more than one rider ask after the master beastcrafter and didn't think twice about it.

The bluerider walked in the direction the boy had pointed out. Blinking as he emerged back out into the bright sunlight, he shielded his eyes.
Ah, that must be the man. "Master Aivorn?" he called, not wanting to just walk into the enclosure uninvited.

"I am," Aivorn replied and let go of the hoof he was inspecting. He looked the young bluerider curiously.

"I have a delivery for you, sir!" D'cal called.

"Oh, really, from where?" Aivorn asked and came over.

"From Master Aiele of Dolphin Cove Weyr."

"Ah, I wonder what the mom has for me?" Aivorn asked rhetorically.

"Really? Master Aiele is your mother?" D'cal asked, surprised considering the hidebound reputation of Emerald Falls.

"Yes, it's something I don't exactly spread around here, " Aivorn shrugged.

"I can imagine. Did she go to the Weyr after the craftban then?" D'cal had been from Topaz Sea Hold, and therefore no stranger to female crafters. Emerald Falls, however, was its complete opposite.

"No, she was actually born in weyrhold," Aivorn replied.

"Oh, so then you... Are you Weyrbred then?" He had not expected that possibility.

"Yes I am. I left after it came clear I will not impress," Aivorn said and glanced to the direction of D'cal's blue.

"You must have left a lot of family at the Weyr then."

"Yes," Aivorn replied curtly. Some of them had been killed by Thread since them and some of them, like Aishara, had joined them.

"Are they all at Dolphin Cove?" D'cal asked, wondering if he might have met some of them.

"Pretty much. Some have transferred to other weyrs," Aivorn replied.

"Maybe I know some of them." Wouldn't that be fun!

"That's always possible. My daughter Aishara is now a wingrider and and my brother is in X wing..." Aivorn said.

"Aishara? That name sounds familiar..." Perhaps she was in his wing?

Aivorn just shrugged. "You had something for me?" he reminded him.

"Yes, this package is for you from Master Aiele." The bluerider pulled a bundle of hides out from the bad slung across his shoulder. "Which wing is your daughter in?"

"Cyclone wing I think it was," the beastcrafter answered and took the bundle. "Thank you for delivering these."

"No no, I'm Hurricane Wing..." Shards, that name was just so familiar!
"Anyway, do you need me to stick around for a reply?"

"No, that's not nessessary. I'll send the reply with the watch-dragon," Aivorn said.

"All right." D'cal was just about to turn away when a possible name came to him. "Is your daughter Richoth's rider?"

"No, her dragon is Ayumith," Aivorn replied absently, opening the bundle. He gave a satisfied smile when he noted that they were the breeding records he had been waiting for.

**Ayumith...**

}:She is my mate,:{ Aosorath replied helpfully, and rather smuggly.

**Oh....** Shards! The blood drained from his face as his heart dropped into the pit of his stomach. Of course! Aishara! The greenrider of the green his blue had flown! D'cal felt genuinely ashamed. **I forgot her _name_??? I am such a terrible person!**

}:No you're not! You had to go be with Tabernith's.:{ That's right... He had left so soon... Shards, and this was her _father_?! **I screwed this man's daughter and then rushed off to be with another woman!** "I... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry... I..." Shards, the man was going to see right through him! "I have to go. I have to go. Sorry." **Don't run or he'll know something's wrong!** D'cal swiftly walked out the paddock gate.

"What the shells came over to him?" Aivorn asked from the runner, puzzled by the bluerider's behavior. The beast nuzzled his ear but didn't provide any answers.
