Teseada

Teseada

"Morning Teseada." Karri said sleepily as she sat up from Teseada's couch. "Thanks for letting me sleep here last night, I was just too tired to go all the way across the weyrbowl."

"And it was cold and dark out there as well." The goldrider yawned as she opened her wardrobe and pulled out a clean tunic.

Karri nodded in agreement and gave a muffled "Too true" as a sympathy yawn escaped her as well. "One of your goldrider perks wouldn't be daily klah delivery would it, cause I could really use a cup right now.
No offense to your couch, but it's left me a bit stiff." she added with a poke at the fabric.

"I didn't order any, but I've got some redfruit juice and there are some sweetrolls we didn't eat from last night." she offered in exchange. "Will that do?"

The greenrider perked up at the mention of sweerolls, "Were you hiding some? I could have sworn I scarfed them all down. Pass them over so I can get fat off of them!"

"Like you'll get fat!" Teseada passed the plate, watching as her friend made a grab for it.

Karri crinkled her nose as if considering whether or not the sweetroll was worth it, then bit in deeply, "Yum! You know, I _have_ put on some weight since I got here. It's all the good food you know, even in winter you all have fresh meat or fish and a ready supply of fruits and vegetables. Being from a mountain hold, we always had to pace ourselves so we didn't run out before spring thaw." She explained, taking another big bite out of the roll.

"Well no problem with that here. A dragon can always take us where fresh food is available," and that was the weyrbred side of Teseada coming out.

"It was good you did stay here last night," she said. "I needed to talk after I saw Y'nub again."

Karri frowned at the tunnelsnake's name, "You saw him again? What could he possibly want? I thought he'd learned his lesson after that itch powder mysteriously found its way into his sweetsand." she added with a wink and a grin.

"He managed to get himself in the stores at the same time as I'd gone down there to check on something."

"Lovely." Karri said with a sigh. "Did he try anything, or did you just belt him on the spot?"

"I told him to get lost and leave me alone, that I wasn't going to believe anything he said this time."

Karri frowned, disappointed. "I would have belted him... and then blamed it on hormones or something. They wouldn't have done anything to you you know, you're too important, and they'd know he deserved it."

"Oh I just pointed out that I might have Onnyth persuade his bronze never to chase any green or gold again as that was the only way he was going to get some," Teseada grinned. "His face was a picture." "You didn't!" the greenrider exclaimed, howling with laughter and slapping her thigh with her hand. "Well not in so many words, but that was the meaning."

Karri giggled as she imagined his shocked face, "He'd better leave you alone then, he'll be the laughing stock if he's effectively neutered."

"He will I think, I threatened to repeat it in public."

Yawning unexpectedly, Karri let her whole body expand into a stretch. "It's too bad he can't be kicked out to another Weyr, not that I wish him on anyone, but you know, someplace out of the way." "Somewhere even colder than here like Telgar?"

She nodded as the relaxed back from the stretch, "Sure, another _continent_ should be far enough away that he can't bother you anymore."
