Description: Teseada confesses her fears about Onnyth's flight to Karri

Teseada

"Karri!" Teseada called out as she saw her friend enter the dining
caverns. "There's space here."

The greenrider waved an acknowledgement before heading to the front to
get her meal. Laden with enough for two (dragonriding was hungry
work), Karri made her way to her friend. "Thanks." she said with a
smile as she sat down.

"How've you been?"

"Good, and you?" she replied before popping one of her favorite
flavors of cheese balls in her mouth.

"Seen enough hidework to make me glad I'm not a harper!"

Karri chuckled, "Another good reason I don't envy your gold
impression!"

Teseada managed a grin, and then she took a spoonful of the dessert in
front
of her. "I suppose," she said. "But there must be something you'd
swap?"

"Hmm, let me think..." Karri feigned hard thought, "not the size to
bathe, not the responsibility, not the public attention... I don't
know, maybe the ability to boss people around?"

"Not even your dragon having a clutch?"

"I guess I hadn't thought about that before." the greenrider smiled as
she took another bite of the soft cheese. "That would be pretty neat
to see all the little ones, but I don't know if I would want to deal
with a grumpy Elliath while the eggs are on the sand. Do you think
Onyth will be the protective grumpy type or the proud mamma type?"

"I don't know, she has to rise first." Teseada looked at the table a
second,
to hide the blush she was sure was forming. "I don't know what that
will be
like."

Karri gave her an understanding smile, "I'd forgotten she hadn't risen
yet. I'll be soon though I would think. You'll do just fine you know,
you're strong."

"Are you sure? I mean what if that wherry-brained idiot Y'nub sends his
bronze up as well?"

She wrinkled her nose at the unapealing thought. It was possible,
maybe even probable with all the time his bronze had spent with the
queen as Y'nub had been courting Teseada. "Well, if he wins, then
enjoy the sex. You said he was good in bed before. When you're
finished, just kick him out and seek somebody you like better out to
finish off the dragonlust if you're still in the mood."

"Ewww!" Teseada forced a laugh though, even if she wasn't sure about it
still. "I guess I'll just have to hope it's not him."

"Or one of the old ones." Karri added, "I'm always worried I'll come
to my senses next to somebody old enough to be my grandfather!"

"Maybe it'll be someone as young and better looking than Y'nub."

Karri nodded encouragingly, "Or maybe one of the bronze or browns from
our Hatching group? It's always nice when you know the person."

"I guess I'll just have to wait and see then."

The greenrider nodded, "That's about all you can do. I try not to
think about it too much. It's just one of those things you have to do
every once in a while, kind of like making new straps."

"Or a check up with the healers."
