Writers: Paula
Date Posted: 31st July 2008

Characters: Ednan, Aileyan
Description: Aileyan and Ednan start to realize exactly how long time is six turns and what differences it has brought.
Location: Dolphin Hall
Date: month 11, day 17 of Turn 4

Aileyan and Ednan had started to walk along the beach while they catch up
with each others lives. They had lot to catch up. Aileyan introduced Ednan
to Kjarliheth. Aileyan found herself admiring the changes maturity had
brought to Ednan. He had been skinny, pale boy with copper-red hair and
freckles. Well, the hair was still red, and freckles were there but the
body was tanned brown and muscular. He looked very handsome.
Ednan on other hand, kept throwing admiring glances to this young woman
who was both familiar and stranger. She was stunningly beautiful, with her
triangular, fine boned face, large eyes and rosy-red mouth. She was still
small-size but she moved graciously like a feline.

"Do you still climb to the trees?" Ednan suddenly asked.

"Yes but not as much I used to," Aileyan replied. "I climb dragons
nowadays," she continued with a glance towards Kjarliheth. "I have little
time for trees."

"I always thought you were half avian or feline, when you liked trees so
much," Ednan laughed.

"I just like heights," Aileyan smiled.

"That's a good characteristic in a dragonrider."

They found a secluded nook among the boulders and stopped there.
Kjarliheth settled down to nap in a sun light. Suddenly Aileyan just
started to kiss him and pull clothes off from them. Ednan was surprised.
He felt himself responding to her, his young man's libido overdriving any
hesitations he might have.

Ednan's rasping breath calmed down. He looked at her and for a moment he
expected to see someone elses face. He felt a stab of guilt. "Oh, shards,
what have we done?" He groaned.

"Done? Only what comes naturally," Aileyan replied with puzzled tone and a
little shrug. He hadn't exactly been struggling against, the exact
opposite actually.

"You just jumped on me and started removing my clothes!" The tone came out
accusing even Ednan really didn't mean it.

Aileyan was more than little hurt. "I didn't hear you say no or notice you
struggle against it. You aren't exactly inexperienced yourself," she said
sharply.

"You can tell?" Ednan asked and blushed. His had felt around for his
clothes. **What about her? If she ever finds about this! ** his thoughts
were coloured by guilt.

Aileyan actually rolled her eyes. "Yes, you can."

"This isn't proper behaviour," Ednan said. He was feeling terribly guilty
and it made his tone harsh.

"Proper? Proper? I'm a greenrider. The word greenrider won't fit into a
same sentence with the word proper," Aileyan exclaimed, getting angry. She
suddenly realized that she did not know this Ednan any longer. He was a
grown man, not her Eddy. She had acted on whim, full filling a dream she
hadn't realized she had. Six turns loomed between them, six turns, one
third of their lives. They had grown to different directions. Her anger
turned into sadness.

Ednan, however, realized that there was a big, green head behind her back
and she was baring her teeth to him.
"Er, is your dragon growling at me?" he asked.

"She's protective," Aileyan said.

"Could you ask her to move aside? I need to get back to my duties," Ednan
asked nervously. He had managed to get dressed again.

"Right, duties...", Aileyan said and mentally commanded Kjarliheth to move
back and let Ednan pass and stop menacing him.

"Bye, Aileyan," Ednan said and moved past her. He was aware he was being
rude and hurting her. "I'm sorry," he whispered. "Do you think we could
meet again?"

"Do you want to meet me?" Aileyan asked. Her voice was very small and
vulnerable.

"Yes, I do. We just need to take it slow and learn to know each others
again," Ednan said and bent to kiss her cheek before walking away.

Aileyan watched his distancing back, tears in her eyes.
