N'vanik

N'vanik

G'len awoke slowly, his memory a bit fuzzy. Had he had too much to drink the night before? He felt so warm, and...ooh, there was a body next to him. The greenrider snuggled closer, wrapping an arm over what felt like a firm, dragonrider's chest. "Mmmm," he said softly, remembering the mating flight. Tobereth had flown long and fast, and tended to only let older, more experienced dragons catch her.

The green was still deeply asleep, probably entwined with whoever had caught her. Instead of disturbing her slumber, G'len cracked open an eye...and stared, and then grinned. "Hello Weyrleader," he said softly, amused by his dragon's choice.

N'vanik blinked, trying to shake off lethargy. "Well, I guess this is one way to get to know my riders."

**You just flew a gold. Wasn't that enough for you?**

}:You are very stressed. This is a good way to relieve stress,:{ Loseth answered, sleepy and satisfied.

**You've been talking to the healers' dragons again, haven't you?** 'Stressed' and 'stress relief' weren't normal parts of Loseth's vocabulary.

}:They know so many interesting things.:{ N'vanik held a snort in and shifted. "Weyrlingmaster Third, aren't you?"

"Aye." It was always nice when the winner of Tobereth's flight wasn't concerned with the fact that he had just slept with a man. However, as nice as N'vanik felt, G'len changed positions slightly, giving him a bit of space.

"Thanks to you, and Loseth, I'll be very busy soon."

"Mmm ... yes." N'vanik stretched lazily. "It'll be our first clutch." He couldn't keep a pleased smile from his face.

G'len couldn't help but admire the ripple of muscles as the bronzerider moved, lingering flight lust coloring his thoughts. "Must be a wonderful feeling."

"It is." N'vanik propped his head on his hand. "And how is having your Weyrleader in bed?"

"Definitely a change from the usual. It's always good to interact with people in more...informal situations. Lets you see a different side of them. And," taking another approving look at the bronzerider, "I can't find fault with what I'm seeing." If only he could remember more of the mating flight and the aftermath.

"Too bad I can't say the same." N'vanik chuckled.

G'len laughed as well. "That's the downside of riding a bronze," he joked.

}:Bronzes like me:{ Tobereth stated, finally awake and radiating contentment.

**Unfortunately, their riders aren't as happy about me,** the greenrider told her, although he didn't mind much.

"Downside for you, maybe." N'vanik stretched again and rolled onto his back. He knew it wouldn't last, but for the moment, he did feel quite relaxed.

G'len laughed again. "You're a pretty fun Weyrleader," he said, poking the bronzerider lightly in his side. The flight lust was slowly abating, but it was still enjoyable to touch the other man, even for a moment.

"You say that now ..." N'vanik snorted. "Despite being the wrong gender, you've put me in a good mood."

"That's the best I can hope for, I suppose."

"Well, try to remember this later, when things might not be so good." Like when his temper got the better of him ... or when he screwed up.

"I will. And don't you forget either," G'len said, reluctantly sitting up and looking around for his clothes. "Feel free to find me if you ever want to relax, although we'll have to find a different... activity to do. Perhaps a nice, quiet, game of dragon poker." It wouldn't be nearly as satisfying, but then it was hard to compare anything to a mating flight.

"Maybe." N'vanik sat up, too. "I suppose I should go before my body and my brain start disagreeing about what I want."

"I'll take that as a compliment."

"It's a compliment for your green, at least." N'vanik chuckled as he reached for his pants.

"That's the best compliment of all."
