Description: D'nev chats to E'naer before joining his daughter for dinner
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 9, day 1 of Turn 3
Spotting E'naer in the dining caverns, D'nev crossed the short distance between them. Approaching from behind, he called out the Weyrlingmaster's third. "How're you doing old friend?"
"Hi, D'nev, just fine thank you. How about you?" E'naer turned to look the bluerider and grinned.
"Good, good." he grinned at the greenrider. "And how's my girl doing?"
"Teseada? Pretty well considering she didn't expect to impress and a gold of all" E'naer replied. "You've got reason to be proud of her."
"I keep telling her that, but it doesn't seem to sink in. Between you and me, I think she half had it in mind to leave the Weyr and go to the Technicians Hall and study to walk the tables there."
E'naer nodded in agreement, remembering the talk he had with her before Hatching.
"I'm glad she didn't though, imagine missing out on a dragon."
E'naer nodded again. "I sometimes try to imagine how my life would have been if I had stayed at the hold and missed Eillispeth. Gives me cold shudders."
"Shoglenth would miss her, I know that much," said D'nev. While he mainly preferred the company of women, sometimes, and not necessarily in flight a man was a pleasant change.
"I bet there isn't a blue dragon in whole weyr who wouldn't" E'naer laughed.
His dragon was awfully flirty.
"And some browns too no doubt," teased D'nev.
"Probably yes" E'naer smirked with good-humour.
"And who would you miss?" teased D'nev gently.
But before the conversation could get too far down that line, the pair were interrupted.
"Papa, Sir," said Teseada. "Papa, was it today we were meeting for dinner?"
"I think so," replied D'nev.
"Hello, Teseada" E'naer greeted.
"It's good to see you sir," she replied. Even though it had been barely candlemarks since classes had finished for the day, and she was on a tight schedule, she had been waiting all the sevenday to find time to catch up with her father.
"I'll leave you two alone" E'naer said.
"We'll talk later?" suggested D'nev.
E'naer nodded. "You know where to find me."
"I do indeed," replied D'nev, throwing an arm around his daughter. "Tell me about your day, before you have to get back."
