"So," a low male voice whispered in the fosterling's ear, "I hear you
flew off on a brown dragon with a certain Holder..."
"And what if I did," she said innocently taking a step away from him.
"I heard you were smiling," he replied, a rather ferrel grin on his own
face as he took a step towards her. "Did innocent Alrog finally fall to
your charms?"
"That would be for me to know," came the quick reply. "There are some
things it isn't polite to tell."
"Since when have _we_ been polite?" Kiomo asked, reaching out to finger
her neckline. "I just want your happiness and to offer my assistance in
any way to help you."
"Kiomo," she turned to look at him. "I really don't think I need any
help there." Alrog had been so sweet, and that was a change from the
knowing
and teasing way this man acted.
"Well, there's no harm in me offering you my help is there?" he asked
innocently.
"That would depend on the 'help' you were offering." Fieayz gave him a
very innocent look.
"Whatever you need," he replied with a sweet smile. "I can help you...
with advice, or pointers, or ideas... I am very resourceful and
creative, you know."
"No doubt you could. But sometimes, sometimes it is better just to let
things happen at their own pace."
"Well, I'm certainly happy to allow you two to progress at a pace as
slow as flowing glass. After all, when you are married, what will
happen to poor Kiomo?"
"I'm sure you won't be _poor_ Kiomo for long. After all, there are
plenty of young ladies around here that would just love for you to pay
them some
attention."
"And you think I'd settle for any willing female?" he asked with a deep
sigh. Of course, she was almost right. They'd have to be willing and
discrete. "I will mourn the loss, you know."
"Although you know there are some ways to help with loss." Fieayz looked
up, catching Kiomo's eyes. "You can talk about it, it helps you to deal
with
it."
"I doubt you would appreciate me baring my sorrow to someone else." He
siddled up a bit closer. "Who I will be able to talk to and bare my...
heart to?"
"Only your heart?" she couldn't help ity, and a laugh escaped. "There's
so much more to you."
"Well, I might bare a little more, if you ask nicely," he murmured,
leaning closer.
"And I could ask so nicely," she said softly. "But that depends."
"Oh?" he asked with raised eyebrows, intrigued.
"On how nicely you ask me to ask you," she teased.
Kiomo gave her his biggest, most innocent eyes. "Please?"
"You can do better than that," she encouraged him.
His eyebrows raised, he accepted her challenge. Placing both hands on
her hips he leaned in close enough to nibble on her ear teasingly before
whispering, "Please?"
"So tempting," she murmured. "What else can I say, other than yes."
