N'vanik

N'vanik

Ardela fingered the untied laces of her blouse, watching as the men began to circle around the young greenrider who seemed to barely be out of her teens. Their eyes held that familiar, dark and faraway look in them as they reached out to cop a feel, fondling her small breasts or whatever else they could before she arched defiantly away from them, slapping their questing hands away. Ardela smirked. When it came down to it, all dragonriding men were much the same. It didn't matter if they were twenty or fifty Turns, they were all lustful creatures ruled by whatever hung below their belts. Oh, they liked to think that they were different from each other deep down, but Ardela knew better. Mating flights brought out their true natures. And that was fine. She could appreciate honesty. It was the way in which they each handled flight lust that made them somewhat different from one other, and she liked to experiment and explore--which was why she was here.

Her eyes flickered from face to face, wondering which one she would claim for herself once the green chose. Most were good looking, some were not--especially that man who was old enough to be her grandfather! Poor man's dragon must be desperate. Shaking her head, she continued to study each of them, gaze finally landing on the Weyrleader. Ardela blinked in surprise, then chuckled to herself. Shards, mating the senior dragon queen wasn't enough for his bronze? Or was it N'vanik who needed to indulge in flight sex? Since this was the second time she had seen him in a circle of chasers, she honestly had no idea. She had tried to entice him that one other time before, but he had shoved her away--probably to go to that dragonless woman of his. Ardela smiled faintly as she edged closer, wondering if he would spurn her this time. If he did, it didn't matter. She had a second choice picked out.

High above the Weyr, the green shrilled lustily as a male finally caught her. The young girl stumbled backward into a man's arms--Ardela didn't see who, or cared. It wasn't the Weyrleader, and that's all that mattered to her. She shouldered her way through the swarm of women anxious to snag a dragonrider, snarling at one who seemed to have designs on the same man. The other quickly backed down and Ardela stepped boldly right up to N'vanik, who looked more angry than dazed. Anger was good. She knew how to deal with a male's temper, especially in bed. "I know what you need," she told him when his eyes focused on her face. She spread the opening of her blouse further apart, letting him get a good look at her breasts. Her smile was predatory. "I can give it to you."

N'vanik's eyes flickered with confusion as he struggled with his lust and anger. He needed Tal. His arm came up to brush the woman aside. Then a dark thought crossed his mind: what if it happened again? The last few days it had haunted him, and it reached him even now, when he could hardly think. Instead of brushing the woman aside, he grabbed her arm and pulled her close for a rough kiss.

At last! The expression in her eyes was a smug one as she broke the kiss, leading him away from the circle to find the nearest bed. Luckily her weyr wasn't too far. Maybe she'd just take him there.

"Faster," he growled. Need raged through him, but more than that, his thoughts were too clear. He needed to drown himself in sensation. He didn't want to think about Tal, about how he was avoiding her.

Her breathing quickened, his tone arousing her. Shards, he was going to give her one flaming shard of a ride! Ardela pushed open the door to her weyr and drew him inside. It was dark, but apparently he didn't need any light to help him see. She pressed her slender body up against his, hands working on his belt buckle.

************

Silence enveloped them then, broken only by their panting breaths. Shards! The Weyrleader made good. Once Ardela found the strength, she lifted her head to look at him, her eyes glittering with laughter and satisfaction. "Feel better?" she asked, voice a lusty purr.

"Yeah." His head was clearing. "You look like you enjoyed yourself quite a bit."

She grinned at him, fingers curling in his hair. "Believe me, Weyrleader, you would know if I wasn't pleased."

He laughed and stepped back so he could set her down. It was dark in here. He could barely see her face. He trailed a finger between her breasts, wiping away a trail of sweat. "Are you up for more, or should I find someone else?"

Her hands went to his hips, one sneaking lower. "My bed is behind you," she murmured, stepping closer. "It'll be a lot more comfortable than the wall--for both of us. Let's make good use of it, hmm?" And from what she could tell, he'd be up for another round sooner rather than later. Flight lust was certainly a potent aphrodisiac.

He backed toward the bed carefully. His trousers had slipped down and were now around his ankles. "Turn a light on. I want to see you."

Reaching out towards the nightstand, she flicked one on before slipping out of her skirt and the whisper of material beneath. As his eyes roamed over her body, hers roamed greedily over his. He had a beautiful physique, like most dragonriders did, but he was lean where most of the others she tended to lay with were bulky. She preferred lean. Her hands traced his smooth chest, eyes flickering to his face.

He caught her hand and brought it to his lips. He kissed her palm, his eyes lifted to meet hers before looking over her body again. She was slender, with curves in the right places. A waist made to wrap his hands around, hips just wide enough. He let her hand go and cupped one of her breasts, his thumb tracing a nipple already hard with arousal. "Glad I got a good look." In a candlemark, maybe more, he would have to face Tal and explain where he'd been. It was still soon enough that he could bring up his very real concern for her physical well-being. But what would happen when that wasn't a factor any more?

"Me too." She pressed herself closer and closer into him until he was forced to sit down on the bed, moving back so she could ease down between his legs. "So," she said, caressing her nails up his thighs, "was it your dragon who needed to fly? Or was it you, hmm?"

"Me," he answered in a low voice, watching her.

The answered surprised her--sort of. Wasn't he getting enough with his Weyrwoman? Or if the rumors were true and they weren't getting along so well right now, then was it his dragonless woman...? Ardela couldn't remember her name. Couldn't find it in her to care. "I see." She moved further up his body. "Glad you lost?"

"Glad I ended up with you." That young greenrider might not have been able to handle him. He slid a hand up her side, across her shoulder, then into her hair, where he suddenly gripped. "Show me what you've got."

And she did.
