Ciara

"Ciara!" called K'sedel, "How's Cirina doing?"

"Come on in, K'sedel!" she called from the other room. Coming out of the bedroom, she offered him a relieved smile as she approached. "She's doing better. Her high fever finally broke last night..."

"That's fantastic news!" K'sedel knew how attached Ciara was to the child.
"You and R'yin must be so relieved to know the worst is over."

"We are." In the next moment, her arms were around him, but her tone grew quieter at the mention of the father of her daughter. She still hadn't been alone with him. Not since that one night. And she hadn't been able to quite look at him in the eye since then either...

He held her close for a moment. "Has Abrei said when she'll be out of the infirmary yet?"

Ciara shook her head. "It's still too soon to tell..." Her tone held soft worry, and she pressed her cheek to his chest. "But things are looking better than before, Kes..."

"That really is good news." He released his hold on her, taking a step back to study her. "Have you slept at all?"

She nodded, giving him a half-smile. "Still a little restless though..."

"Maybe I can do something about that?" he suggested.

Tilting her head slightly to the side, she gazed at him, and a slow smile spread across her lips. "Like what?"

"I know a great way to relax," he began. "It starts with a bathing chamber..."

"Does it?" She took a step closer, her fingers reaching to the laces on his tunic. Playing with them, she murmured, "And you'll show me?"

"I'll demonstrate," he teased, turning her in the direction of her bathing chamber.

And Ciara let him. Maybe she did need this right now...maybe...

It was a gentle kiss he started with, as he felt for the fastenings of her blouse.

Her hands settled at his waist as she returned his kiss, shivering slightly as his palms gently brushed against her shoulders, collarbones...
When they parted, she gave him a small, mischeivous grin as her fingers began to dance their way up his sides.

"First we start by getting suitably dressed, or should that be undressed for the job," he said as her blouse slid off under his fingers. "Clothing can only get in the way."

"Clothing can be rather cumbersome, can't it?" she grinned, her head tipping back slightly.

"So how about you help me with mine? hmm?"

Her hands slid up underneath his tunic, bringing the material gently over his head. It fell unceremoniously to the floor and she ran her palms down his chest, her lips soon following.

The rest of their clothes soon followed, at which point K'sedel gently lifted the greenrider into the warm water of the bathing pool.

Ciara leaned her head back against his shoulder, moving so that she could sit comfortably in his lap. She turned her head, brushing her cheek against his skin before kissing him there. Yes...this is exactly what she need right now.

"This is just what your Weyrleader ordered."

She smiled. "Mmm-hmmmm..."

"A warm bath, and you'll sleep like a baby."

She tilted her head back so she could looked at him. "_Just_ a warm bath, hmm?" Her fingers slid in between his.

"There are a few other tricks I know," he bent his head to whisper in her ear. "When I'm finished, you'll be so relaxed."

"Mmm... I look forward to them...."

"And then you'll sleep, and be ready to see your daughter tomorrow."

"You'll come with me?"

"If you want me to."

She shifted so she could kiss him. "I do..."

"Then I'll come with you."
