She was aware of his fingers first, gently rubbing in soothing motions along her spine; then she was aware of his lips, which were pressed up against her collarbones, his breath lightly tickling her throat. Gently she brushed her cheek against his hair, a languid smile curving her lips.
Shells. Gaiya had been right. She hadn't known it could be like that. She had never even _imagined_ it could be like that. Shells... She stretched a little, her toes digging into the bunched furs at the foot of his bed before she nestled closer against him.
He smiled against her shoulder, kissing the skin lightly. "How's the headache now?"
"I don't even feel it anymore," she murmured softly. "It seems you have a miracle remedy on your hands, T'voal," she grinned, blushing.
"Mmmmm..." His fingers traced down her spine and across her hip absently as he lifted his head to look up at her. "Forgive me if I don't share it with anyone else."
"I don't want you to share it with anyone else."
He leaned up to kiss her nose. "And do _you_ want to share it with anyone else?" he asked lightly, wishing he never had to leave his bed. Lying curled up with Shayla was fairly close to perfect.
She shook her head before brushing her cheek against his hair.
"Good. That's good." T'voal snuggled back down into the mattress, his arms tight around her. "Because I think I kind of want to keep you to myself."
Pleased, Shayla wrapped her own arms around him. "I wouldn't mind..." she murmured, lightly kissing the top of his head.
T'voal chuckled and shifted to pull the blanket up over them. "So," he said, throwing an arm wide to indicate the rumpled bed and the room beyond. "How do you like my weyr?"
She lifted her head a little to get a good look around, then blushed. "You know I like it... And you know something? I think your bed is softer than mine!" She patted the mattress beneath them.
"How convienent," T'voal replied in a low, warm voice. "Because I was thinking maybe you might want to spend a few more evenings in it. Maybe every night?" It wasn't quite how he'd planned to broach the subject to her, but it wasn't something he'd ever asked someone before.
She turned on her side to gaze at him, hopeful pleasure lighting her eyes.
"Do you mean... Are you asking me to move in here?"
"I would have asked before," he replied with an easy smile. "But it seemed safer to have someplace to hide when you got too tempting to resist. But now that I don't have to worry about that anymore..." His smile grew a lot warmer. "Well, maybe it's a little crazy after only five months, but the worst thing that can happen is we drive each other insane and you have to move out again, right?"
She was grinning at him. "You _will_ drive me insane if you don't kiss me right now, T'voal."
He fell back onto the bed and pulled her on top of him, suddenly perfectly content with his life. How could he not be when faced with the delicious prospect of waking up next to a delightful greenrider every morning?
