Settling into a married life

Writers: Emma, Paula
Date Posted: 11th August 2009

Characters: Alrog, Fieayz
Description: Alrog and Fieayz discuss the problems she has with kitchen staff.
Location: Garnet Valley Hold
Date: month 4, day 2 of Turn 5

"Hello, my wife, how was your day, darling?" Alrog greeted his wife
and kissed her cheek. Just saying the word, wife, filled him thrilling
pleasure. Their marriage-life was still so new he couldn't get enough
of the word.

"All the better now you're here," she replied with a smile.

"What have you been doing today?" Alrog asked and sat down next to her.

"I wrote a letter to my mother. Arva took it. Then I went to talk to the
cook about menus. I think she thinks I was trying to interfere." She pulled
a face.

"They'll get used to you. Until now, it's been my mother who took care
of such things," Alrog assured her.

"I hope so, we've got turns together."

"Just make it clear that _you_ are in charge now, not my mother, and
you'll have no problems," Alrog said.

"Oh, I will. Besides once she realises I do know what I'm talking about."
There had been no Headwoman at the Smithcraft Hall, just her and Otrina,
they had had to learn quickly, or else nobody there would have got anything
done. "I nearly told her to send to the Smith Hall if she didn't believe
me."

Alrog chuckled. "You're perfect, did you know that."

"I'm not perfect," she replied. "But you, my wonderful husband are."

"Hardly," the young holder snorted.

"I do know one thing we are both perfectly good at though," she said with a
smile just for him. "I could tell you what it is, or show you, which would
you prefer?" Alrog really was a good match for her, she thought. He was a
good man, and she knew he would make the best father, when the time came.

"How about showing me?" Alrog asked with expectant smile.

"Then come a little closer and kiss me."

Alrog was more than happy to do so.
