Description: Amdrath rises to be caught by Julerith.
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 5, day 1 of Turn 5
It might be cold, and stormy too. Not that it was bothering Samdrath, the green lay slumbering on her ledge, before awakening suddenly with a glow about her.
**Now?** queried her rider.
}:Yes now, I rise and they will chase. Only the best will have me.:{ The green gave a sharp call, echoing around the Weyr. }:Be mine if you dare!:{
U'kaiah smiled at Hanni knowingly as he joined the other riders in the circle. He knew this greenrider pretty well, and though he had plenty of experience in her bed, he had yet to wake up with her in a Flight room. **She would make for one wild catch,** he thought smuggly as his eyes raked over her appreciatively.
The Weyrleader stepped up next to the bronzerider, glancing at him out of the corner of his eye. **He sure seems sure of himself,** he thought with a possessively dour expression. Then again, when did U'kaiah _not_ look sure of himself. T'mahl was not usually a highly competitive man. Only where a Flight was concerned. And this time, he wanted to remind U'kaiah why _his_ bronze had flown the queen instead of Kalamath!
A bronze, no two. Samdrath was pleased as she took to the air with another sharp cry. }:I am honoured, but you will need to work for me!:{
Julerith trumpeted his intent to chase Samdrath and his red-headed rider grinned broadly. N'klar had been in flights with Hanni numerous times, and he sidled up to the greenrider, sure and confident as his blue, even though he was taking to the air with two bronzes. Two! They would show those bronzeboys a thing or two about chasing greens. Julerith won _often_. A wink to U'kaiah, though, as he spied his friend. It would be even better to put one over on his favorite drinking partner.
The blue arched his neck and proudly launched after her, showing off a little by using his smaller size and greater agility to its best against his two large competitors.
}:You have no need of bronzes, Samdrath. I will fly you well!:{ Julerith bugled as he circled closer to the green.
That smile earned N'klar one in return, Hanni moved closer to him as Samdrath flew teasingly close to Julerith. }:What can you do for me?:{ called the green to the pack.
}:Don't give in so easily!:{ Kalamath chided as he rose up between the green and blue. }:Let me show you how far I can fly!:{
Uluruth bugled his intentions as he closed in on the green from the other side. Perhaps while she was distracted, flirting with those upstarts, he could take her by surprise!
Julerith dropped below her, watching for the inevitable dip in her flight path he just _knew_ was coming. }:I can match you well, lovely. Pick Me:{
}:Make me want you!:{
Julerith roared at one of the bronzes near him, establishing his claim to the lovely green. She would want him , a blue, for being so brave and confident that _he_ deserved her.
}:I like you,:{ Samdrath told the blue. }:You have pretty words, but your deeds, prove youself to me, now!:{ Samdrath dropped into the path of the blue, leaving him with only one option.
Kalamath and Uluruth peeled off the chase as the green made her choice, their lifemates also stumbling away from the circle in a daze. It would see that the question of who was the better of the two would have to wait for another day.
Triumph crashed over Julerith and his rider, as N'klar pulled Hanni close to him, with some roughness, seeking to connect them as their dragons were now connected.
She had made a _very_ good choice.
