**Rogeth, is that a _gold_ I see down there?** the bronze rider asked as they spiraled down towards the sand.

}: Yes, she says her name is Nyith and she is the Senior Queen of Dolphin Cove! :{ his lifemate replied excitedly.

**What is _she_ doing here?**

}: This _is_ her territory. She says its all right if we want to land. I think she likes me, :{ the bronze replied smugly.

The bronzerider had heard about the shake up at Dolphin Cove of course. So this was the usurping pair... What was the new Weyrwoman's name again?

}: Weyrwoman Traelyn, :{ he was helpfully reminded.

Yes, of course. Traelyn. **Well, we should welcome the new Weyrwoman to her new island!**

Nyith craned her neck upwards, her eyes beginning to whirl faster as the bronze flew nearer. She lifted her tail and fanned her bright wings as she made a show of settling herself more in the warm sand.

}:We have company, Trae.:{ At her queen's tone, Traelyn turned around to look at her before glancing up to the skies. A flash of bronze hide against the setting sun. A smile began to spread across her lips. **Who?**

}:His name is Rogeth.:{ Trae wrapped her arms around herself, her smile fading slightly as she made her way up the dunes to her dragon. She didn't know any bronze by the name Rogeth. Grabbing the towel off the log, she wrapped it around her waist, feeling that she should be at least a _little_ modest.

The bronze took his time setting into the warm sand next to the much larger gold.

**Can I get down now or are you going to keep showing off?** his rider asked.

}: I was just letting her get a good view of me, :{ his bronze answered hautily.

His rider slipped off the great next and pulled off his riding helmet, shaking out his shoulder length blonde hair. He smiled as he saw the gold rider approaching. "I'm sorry to disturb you, Weyrwoman. We were not expecting to find anyone here at this time."

One brow rose slightly at her title.

}:No one forgets who we are, Trae,:{ Nyith told her primly, airily arching her neck around to preen one large, golden wing.

"Neither were we," she smiled back. Certainly not at U'kaiah's lagoon...

Well, the new Dolphin Cover Weyrwoman surely had a nice smile. "I apologize. I'm captain of a water ball team at Vista Point and we were challenged to a game with Dragons Fall Weyr, and apparently they prefer this lagoon in the winter."

At that, she had to laugh. "With all the snow they have up there, it's no wonder," she grinned. She remembered U'kaiah saying something about him playing waterball here now... "When's the game scheduled?"

"The second restday, I believe. I just came to check it out." He gave her a friendly smile. "I suppose since this is part of _your_ territory, you would know it best. Can I request a tour from you, Weyrwoman?"

She tilted her head slightly to the side, considering him, wondering. Did he believe her to be a "usurper" as well? **Oh, _Trae_.**
Irritated with herself for even _caring_ about what a strange bronzerider would think of her, she ran an impatient hand through her hair.

Shoving that prick of self-doubt down deep, she summoned another slight smile for him. "You can request, bronzerider, but I don't know if I'd be much of a tourguide." She shrugged a shoulder, meeting his eyes. "I've only been here a couple times..."

"Oh, well, maybe we can discover the cove together, then," the bronzerider smiled as he stripped off his riding jacket. And his shirt for good measure. His dragon wasn't the only one who give a female a show.

She studied him, watching him as he shed his shirt - and knowing exactly what he was doing. And she found that she didn't really mind all that much.

Shards.

"We could..." Traelyn firmly knotted the towel at her hips, then tucked her hair back behind her ears before coming closer to him.

He offered her his arm. "Mind showing me where the water is?"

She took it, her own arm and hand resting lightly on his. "I think it's this way," she grinned, glancing at the bronzerider out of the corner of her eye as she led them towards the place where the water met the sand.
"Think we're heading in the right direction?"

"Yes, I think things are looking promising," he said with a desisive nod. Shards, but he wouldn't mind if she wanted usurp _his_ Weyr next. Pretty, flirty, good sense of humor...

Once the reached the damp sand, Trae dug her toes in it, watching as the foam came up and over her bare feet to swirl at her ankles. She raised her eyes to his and she grinned. "I think we finally found it, no?"

"Hmm, it certainly feels wet," he said as he met her dark grey grey eyes. "I think we can play water ball here. You don't happen to be on the Dolphin Cover team, do you?"

"Me?" She laughed. "No. But I used to play when I was a girl back at Far Island." She remembered those days... She remembered them well. A slight frown crossed her face as she thought of B'ram. He'd been on her team. And L'kub...

Shards. She didn't need to be thinking about him now. Either of them.

"Really?" he asked with lifted brows. "I bet you were a pretty physical competiter."

Her expression turned almost coy. "You could say that. But I had to be.
If a girl is going to hang with the boys, she'd got to be tough."

The bronzerider grinned. "Wait here, then." He jogged back to his bronze and disappeared behind the massive creature. When he came back into sight, he was wrapped in a towel and held a waterball in his hand. Jogging back he grinned. "Let's see how much you remember."

"Is that a challenge, bronzerider?" Her eyes flickered with amusement and with a bit of excitement. She hadn't played in Turns! She wondered if she even remembered how to catch with one hand.

"That is a challenge, goldrider," he grinned as he pulled off his towel and threw the ball far out into the water. "You coming?" The bronzerider ran for the water and after a few powerful strides he slipped into the water.
