Tavia walked the corridors of Dragonsfall again a sevenday after she'd
brought the boy to visit his father. She'd volunteered to come back
and pick him up. But this time she came early. She didn't want to end
up late this time. She found the door she wanted and knocked but no
one answered. After a moment she peeked inside but didn't see anyone.
"U'kaiah?" she called. She closed the door behind her and looked
around the room. Then she got comfortable in a chair to wait for a
bit.
The Wingleader had not been pleased with the performance of a section of
his Wing, and so had ordered them to stay after drills for a few extra
runs at the formation they had been practicing. In the end they had
finally gotten it, but U'kaiah was very close to seriously losing his
temper. **I could use a drink...** he thought wearily as he whipped his
wherhide jacket over his shoulder and pushed his office door open with a
long, drawn out sigh.
His mood changed instantly when he saw the young woman waiting there.
Cocking his head to the side, a slow, relieved grin spread across his
face. "I'm sorry, did I barge into the wrong office?"
She couldn't say how long she waited exactly but it was long enough to
slip into a light doze. Hearing the door and voice woke her instantly.
With a giant grin to answer his, she jumped up. "U'kaiah!" flinging
herself at him, she threw her arms around his neck and legs around his
waist with a giggle. Planting a quick kiss on his lips she quipped
"Barge away!"
"Hmmm," he hummed with pleasure, his fingers curling around her
backside. "You are exactly what I needed today."
"Glad to hear it." she said "been thinking about you too."
"Oh? Have you?" He walked back around his desk, kicking his chair out
of the way as he sat her down on his desk. "What have you been
thinking?"
"Mmmm about a certain tall bronze rider who promised me a bath in a
big wingleader sized pool then took me for a ride instead." she
grinned impudently into his eyes as her fingers combed through his
hair. "And here you are all sweaty again."
Shards he loved it when a girl played with his hair. "And that bath is
just so far away," he groaned, leaning in to nip teasingly at her bottom
lip, thinking of all the things he wanted to do to her right then.
It gave her a little shiver the way he nibbled at her lip and her
fingers kneaded the back of his neck. She could feel the reaction to
his hands as her own body responded and gave a little sigh of
pleasure. This was just the kind of distraction she needed and no
strings. One hand moved under his arm to the hard muscles of his back.
"Another time then" she whispered against his lips.
The bronzerider's hands slipped under the front of her tunic, thumbs and
fingertips teasingly caressing her skin. His lips traced her jaw to her
ear. "How long do we have?"
"Always the same question with you." she grinned. "Today only a
candlemark, and I _can't_ be late again" she wiggled into his caress
with a grin and a soft sigh of pleasure and a shiver as he neared her
ear. Her neck was a very sensitive area and she loved the way he sent
chills down her back.
"Living on the edge," he chuckled softly as slowly lifted her tunic over
her head and tossed it unceremoniously over the chair. "I like that in
a woman."
She tossed her hair back after the tunic came off and her own fingers
went to work on his belt. "And I do love a man in charge."
He had been trained by lovers past that a woman's neck was incredibly
vulnerable, and so he moved his taunting lips alone familiar lines.
Breathing her in he whispered, "Shards you smell good."
"Oooohhh" she shivered when he paid particular attention to her neck.
"So do you." She loved the manly smell of his skin, fresh exercise
thats what it was. Her hands wormed their way up under his shirt and
she pushed it up.
He helped her by pulling the tunic the rest of the way over his head and
threw it over hers. His fingers began working at her belt, the heat
shining in his eyes as he admired her body. "Next time you come, you
have to give me more than a couple candlemarks. There are so many
things I want to do to you."
She laughed, "Greedy eh?" She pushed up. Her muscles smoothly
bunching, from turns of dragon tending to lift her easily up to let
him slide her breeches down her legs. "I suppose I could arrange to
spend a night at some point." She knew how things worked and permanent
wasn't in her vocabulary. Nor, did she think it was in his. By all
counts his main ambition was the big office adjoining the Weyrwoman's
quarters. But that was the way it was for the bronze boys.
U'kaiah liked that this greenrider seemed to understand so well. "I
want what I want, and I will find a way to get it." He pressed himself
against her, claiming her mouth hungrily.

J'nev rather resented the fact that U'kaiah would call him into his
office after drills. Hadn't he been lectured enough for one day? As
far as he could tell, he had been doing everything right! It was the
others who were screwing up. It irked him him that the riders around
him could make him look bad. But it annoyed him even more that the
Wingleader had seemed to single him out especially, and so he had
deliberately taken his time taking off Ankioth's straps and putting his
rider gear away.
As he approached the bronzerider's door, hand raised to knock, he heard
what sounded like voices from within. Had he not been the only one
called in? It did sound like the voices where raised a bit. His hand
stilled, wondering if he should just wait. But the voices sounded
strange to him. At first it sounded like an argument almost, but as he
put his ear to the door it sounded like they were overlapping and almost
rhythmic. And what was _that_ sound? Like wood scraping heavily on
stone. Where they moving furniture? Just what on Faranth's shell was
going on in there?
Looking down, he noticed the keyhole, and ducked his head to take a
peek. The bronzerider was indeed with someone. He could see a
shirtless, what he assumed was a woman. It looked like U'kaiah was
practically devouring her neck. Her head was tilted back, and J'nev
couldn't tell if it was because his hand in her hair was pulling it
back, or merely buried in it.
J'nev took a surprised step back. That sharding ass! He was screwing
some woman on his _desk_ of all places while he was supposed to be
meeting with _him_! And just who was that woman, anyway? A slight
sneer crossed the young bronzerider's lips. It _must_ be Aileyan, he
thought as quickly glanced down the hall to be sure he was not being
watched, and when satisfied that he was alone, he pressed his eye back
to the hole for another peek.

Tavia knew she wasn't the quiet type and even though she tried this
time she couldn't help expressing her... enjoyment. But then it was
time to go. "I have a child to pick up." she said as she jumped off
the desk to retrieve her tunic. "His mother is expecting him soon."
She threw her clothing back on and picked up her wherhide jacket.
U'kaiah refastened his trousers, but snagged her around the waist,
pulling her close again. "Hey now, that couldn't have been a whole
candlemark, could it?" he asked with a convincing, and rather satisfied
grin. The bronzerider certainly was spent, but he did like savoring the
moment. "Don't rush off now. I won't make you late again, I swear.
I'll be good."
She sagged against him and looking up, shook her head. Afterglow was
nice but she wasn't fooled... "It's that charm," she said with a
smile. Her had rose to the side of his face. "I'll bet they all fall
for you don't they." She lightly stroked the corner of his eye with
her thumb. Then she chuckled "You'll never be good."
"Well, I'm at my most charming when I'm bad." Wrapping his fingers
around the back of her neck, he pulled her in for another penetrating
kiss, only to be interrupted by the unwelcome sound of a hard knock on
his door. "Shards," he growled, leaning back slightly, though not
letting go of her just yet. "Who is it?"
"It's J'nev, sir. You asked to see me," was the muffled reply.
"Oh for Faranth's sake..." the Wingleader muttered. "Just a minute!"
At least the boy hadn't come in the _middle_. That would have been most
disappointing. He looked down at the greenrider with regret. "I guess
you're being saved from my evil ways, Tavia. You better run while you
have the chance."
She laughed "Saved by the rider" and pulled his head back for another
kiss. Then she slipped out of his arms and quickly rearranged herself.
Throwing her jacket back on and flipping her hair out of the back. She
knew her face bore mute evidence of his sandpaper but at this point
her color was the least of his worries. "I'll see you another time."
she smiled and opened the door. A slight sardonic smile twisted her
lips as she strode past the young bronze rider meeting his eyes. Then
she was off down the corridor in search of a certain lad who needed a
ride back to Dolphin Cove.
Well, _that_ was not Aileyan! And judging by her knots, she was a long
way from home. J'nev schooled his expression to one of indifferent
curiosity as he strode into the bronzerider's office. "What is a rider
from Dolphin Cove doing here?" he asked innocently.
"She's was on an errand." U'kaiah straighted his tunic and pulled his
chair back up to his desk. "Why are you here again, J'nev?"
Some 'errand', the bronzerider thought, so he made sure not to show it.
"You asked to see me."
"Ah, yes," the Wingleader nodded, finally remembering why. "Yes, I'm
making a list of riders who can assist in picking up dignitaries for the
up-coming Hatching. I was thinking that perhaps you could pick up the
Holder of Agate Hold. I know it's just a minor holding, but it is still
an important assignment. Would you be interested?"
That certainly wasn't what J'nev had expected the Wingleader to want to
see him about. The honor was not lost on him. "Yes, sir, I would be
happy to."
U'kaiah had doubted the boy would turn such a chance down. "Of course I
would expect you to conduct yourself with the dignity and honor of a
Dragonsfall bronzerider. Are you sure you are up to it?"
**The dignity and honor of Dragonsfall bronzerider...** Yes, J'nev knew
just how a Dragonsfall bronzerider was expected to behave. U'kaiah was,
after all, the role-model held up for young bronzeriders such as
himself. And what an idol. Raping girls, hounding his riders, screwing
whoever he pleased, wherever he pleased, whenever he pleased. Shards,
the smell of sex still hung in the air, and he could talk of honor and
dignity. "Yes, sir. I know what is expected of a bronzerider from
Dragonsfall."
