Description: K'ale's Imalkyth is excited after meeting DCW queen Elleth and talks to G'wen's Neath about it
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 1, day 14 of Turn 6
K'ale was smiling as he watched the gold and her rider wink between
over the weyr. "Well my dear," he said to his life mate as he still
bounced around in the Weyrbowl, "Are you ready for sleep yet?"
}:Did you hear her? She said I was handsome:{
**Sorry dear, but I could not hear her. I can only hear you. But
Elleth's told me what she said.**
}:She has a very lovely voice:{
"I'm sure she does." he said "But we have an early morning and need to
get some sleep."
Neath snorted as the two came into the barracks. }:Hey, some of us
are trying to sleep, you:{ she muttered to Ima. A quick glance told
her that her lifemate was very much asleep, still in his work clothes,
his blanket in a tumble on the floor. She nuzzled G'wen but he never
woke, being too worn out. }:Can yours cover mine up? He's too
little to go without his blanket to keep him warm.:{ she asked
Imalkyth.
When Ima relayed Neath's message he went right into G'wen's room.
"I'll take care of him sweetheart," he said giving her eye ridges a
good scratch. He turned to see G'wen sprawled across his bed face
down and sideways. He shook his head. "Had to be tired." He put his
hand on the boy's shoulder and shook him and only got a groan in response.
Snorting softly he turned him over and pulled him up to his pillow.
Soft snores was all he got in response. "Faranth he's dead to the
world." Pulling the boys shoes off he loosened his belt and then
covered him with his blankets.
"Ima, you're too big for in here. Shoo!" He turned and pushed at the
brown snout pushing through the curtains.
}:I can move over if you want to cuddle,:{ Neath offered, moving to
one side if Ima wanted in.
}:But I'm going to cuddle with Neath,:{ the brown blew his nostrils
against his life mates' hands. }:She invited me.:{
K'ale shook his head and chuckled "Oh alright," he said softly so as
not to wake G'wen. Though he wasn't all that certain he _could_ wake
G'wen. "Honestly, first a gold and now a green..." he let it trail off
as Ima pushed his way into the small area and nuzzled his clutch mate.
"I'm going to bed." He disappeared through the curtains and down the
hall to his own room.
Neath moved over to let him get in. They managed to bang G'wen's bed
a few times but he didn't wake so she wasn't concerned. }:You guys
are coming in late.:{
}:Yes, mine had to help Elleth's. She was lost:{.
}:Ah...Elleth's nice. Hers and mine are friends. Maybe one day I'll
be as big as her!:{ The green puffed up at this thought, hoping that
maybe she'd be at least close to the size of the tiny queen.
Imalkyth's eyes whirled at Neath a little doubtful. She was bigger
than other greens but he was bigger than she was and Elleth was _much_
bigger than him. }:Do you really think you'll get that big?:{
}:Yes!:{ she said ferociously. }:I'll be the biggest green you've ever seen!:{
She sounded so sure he nuzzled her again. }:I'm sure you will:{
}:So what did you think of Elleth?:{
}:She was very nice. Mine liked her's very much.:{ he was even a bit
excited about the meeting. }:She let me close to nuzzle her.:{
}:Ah.....:{ Neath knew what that was all about, feeling quite smug
that, of all her clutchmates, she knew the most about Flights, thanks
to her talk with Onnyth. }:So do you think you'll ever get to see her
again?:{
"Neath..." G'wen rolled over and eyed the green, blurry-eyed. "Who
are you talking to?" Her chattering had woken the boy up...slightly.
Blinking a bit, he looked from her to the large brown curled beside
her.
He blinked harder but, no, the brown was still there. "Neath..." he
breathed, sitting bolt upright and clutching the blankets around him
for protection. Had they...did they...were they...was this the end of
a Flight?? Where was he exactly? "K...K'ale?" He groped around on
the bed for another body.
Trying not to do the dragon equivalent of falling down laughing, Neath
told Ima, }:mine's so tired he forgot what time it is and thinks you
and I have just Flown one another.:{
Dragon laughter filled his head and K'ale rolled over on his bed
sleepily. **What is so funny?** }:Just Neaths' he thinks I just did
something with her and is trying to find you in his bed. Neath thinks
he's funny.{: "What!" K'ale sat bolt upright in his cot and smacked
his head into the wall in the process. His hand went to his head. **I
think you've had enough cuddles and should come back to your own
couch.**
The dragon's laughing woke up Kadeth, who strayed into G'wen's
terrified and mostly still asleep vision. "Neath...two dragons?"
Could she get caught by two in a Flight? He felt like he couldn't
breath, so was so stunned.
}:What's wrong with yours?:{ Kadeth asked, nuzzling the pale faced boy.
}:He thinks that we've just had a Flight and now that not only has Ima
here caught me, but that you have as well.:{
}:You should tell him nothing has happened Neath:{ said the brown.
}:Mine calls:{ said Imalkyth }:I should go to him.:{
}:Oh, you're no fun,:{ she pouted. Reaching out, she nuzzled poor
G'wen. }:Go to sleep, it's not what it seems. Ima and I were just
talking.:{ At that, the lad blew out the breath he was holding and
rolled over to do just that, after giving Kadeth a little pat on the
cheek.
Neath didn't deserve it.
