Description: E'naer decides to have a talk with G'wen about handling blueriders...and gets handed in turn
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 4, day 8 of Turn 6

"Stop by to my office after the classes, we need to talk," E'naer had
said to G'wen when they started the lessons.

After the classes were done, the Weyrlingmaster's third went to his
office, but not directly. He went to kitchen to get some refreshments
first. He thought that cup of klah would put G'wen at ease. It was not
going to be an easy talk.
He had heard of the boy's troubles with blueriders.
He was so in need of a vacation.

The boy in question had sighed mightily when he did that, knowing full
well what it would be about. Just the other night he had gotten into
a fist fight with yet another smug, disgusting bluerider._That_one had
taken it in his head that forcing the tiny weyrling into a storage
room and trying to have his way with him was a good idea. A falling
bookcase and a few well placed punches had shown him the error of his
thinking.

E'naer handed him a mug. "Care to tell me what happened?"

"Shard them! Shard them all!" The boy spilled his mug in his anger.
He was sick to death of any man that rode a blue. "Remember when you
told me about avoiding 'bad
types' at the Weyr? Why didn't you tell me that most of the
blueriders_are_bad types?"

"Not most of them, but you seem to have the unfortunate tendency to
run into those who are bad types," E'naer shook his head sadly.

The lad just widened his eyes and sighed. Like he didn't know this already.

"Yes, I can see you figured out already," E'naer hid his smile behind
the klah-mug. "Are you handling the situation or do you need help?"

"I dunno..." He hid his lip behind the klah mug. "I don't get it,
why me? What'd I do?"

E'naer wasn't sure what to answer. Tell him that people expected him
to be his dad? Shards, G'waren really hadn't done much favour to the
reputation of the blueriders. Of course, he hadn't been much better.
"I think it is the combination of your looks, the general reputation
of greenriders and your father's..." he said and stared to the depths
of his klah. Like the liquid could provide some answers. "And the
incident with Sh'lua...well, people are presuming more than what
really happened."

At that the boy rolled his eyes to the ceiling. "Sometimes I really
hate my da. Or at least his past." Did he ever think he'd be
thanking Faranth that T'bel had come into his father's life? His
presence had settled his wayward father right down. "And with
Sh'lua...you'd think he'd care enough to set the record straight!" he
huffed. "I mean, if he cared enough to want to shag me you'd think
he'd care enough to try and protect me a bit."

"Sh'lua is a good man. I'm sure he would protect you if he knew you
needed protection," E'naer replied.

"Well, I could tell him, if he ever stopped running at the site of me
now." G'wen gave E'naer a thoroughly pissed off look.

E'naer couldn't help it. The mental image of the big, strong bluerider
running away from petite G'wen made him laugh out loud.

"Hey! No laughing!" The boy looked indignant at E'naer before
deciding to get up, come around the desk and thoroughly sit himself
right down on the tall greenrider's lap with a grin. There, that'd show him.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't help it," E'naer replied. He couldn't resist
it. He pressed his face against his neck and nuzzled a little. He did
pull back as soon as he realized what he was doing.

G'wen pulled back to look at E'naer, open mouthed.

"I'm terribly sorry!" E'naer said remorsefully and got up, starting to
pace around his office. "That was highly inappropriate from me. I
should have better control than that," he said.

"It's okay," G'wen said from where he stood after being turfed off
E'naer's lap. He came over to stand in front of the greenrider, and
softly touched the front of the man's tunic. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't
have done that, sitting on you I mean..." They were so close, so
close that if he wanted E'naer could just lean down and...G'wen looked
up into eyes as dark as his own.

The boy...no, young man was really robbing the Wingthird's
self-control. "You're still a weyrling and under my care," he was half
reminding himself.

G'wen nodded and just waited, a bit breathless.

"So I'm not allowed to take advantage of you," E'naer continued. He
wasn't sure who he was explaining to, himself or G'wen.

The lad snorted at that. "If you did 'take advantage of me' I'd punch
you too, as that implies that I have no say in the matter." He flushed
and grinned at the tall man at that. No one was going to have him
without his consent. Standing up on tip-toe, he
kissed E'aner on the cheek before stepping away. The poor man looked
so terribly flustered.

"Some may blame me, being your superior officer, of coercing you into
something," E'naer murmured. Like the boy's father, flashed through
his mind.

"They'll never know," G'wen answered, before throwing caution to the
wind and stepping into E'naer's arms. Leaning up, he kissed him fully
on the mouth.

That did it. E'naer forgot all about sense.

G'wen's head felt like it was going to explode. Not only did the
source of his biggest crush obviously like him, he was kissing him!
Every nerve in his body awoke to the sensation of the tall man taking
him in his arms and responding in exactly the way he did in all the
million and one daydreams he had had about the greenrider. Pressing
his whole body up against E'naer, he wrapped his arms about him and
lost himself in the moment. When the kiss broke he could feel his
whole body trembling and he looked up into E'naer's eyes

"You're dangerous," E'naer murmured tenderly when he stopped to catch
his breath.

G'wen could only nod a bit breathlessly at that assessment. Maybe
there was a bit more of his father in him that he cared to admit. He
looked up, wide eyed, the very picture of innocence.

"A heartbreaker," E'naer noted and wrapped his arms around him more firmly.

"So what are you going to do to me?" G'wen whispered, still trembling a bit.

"This lesson is called, how to turn the other one into a quivering
jelly...although you have pretty good hang of it already," the older
greenrider whispered.

G'wen smiled a bit and kissed E'naer again. The couch was only a bit
away and he guided the older man to it before slowly lowering himself,
kissing E'naer with soft lips as he went down.
