Date: month 1, day 16 of Turn 7

Sitting down in his chair, the Master surveyed his eminent domain. It wasn't much yet, but he could fix that. Either way, this thing was started and he meant to see it through. All that was left was to make sure everyone was on course. So he sat there, sipping water, and waited for his folk to report.

Aini was the first. She was always on time if not early and she wouldn't have it any other way. She stepped inside and inclined her head politely to the Master before she moved over to take a seat. "Master Relik," she greeted as she lowered herself into a chair.

Kaphrad arrived not long after, a little bounce in his step. "Master," he said with a nod. "Aini." Another nod and he took his seat beside her.

"Good day to you both," he replied, waiting until they both sat down and got settled before shifting in his seat. "I trust everyone is settling in all right, Aini?" he asked first, wanting to know that the skeleton crew they were working with now had been quartered easily in preparation for the move to the Hold when things were ready.

"Yes, quite well, thank you." Aini nodded once. "I have unpacked and gotten my things in order. "I'm eager to get started."

"Well, you will need to speak with the Hold's headwoman no doubt about supplies since we will be dependent on them at first until we have a proper arrangement," Relik knew that would be the first step in Hold relations and he was waiting to see how it went. "Kaphrad, even though you and I will be busily overseeing construction for some time once we get to the Hold, I want you to start thinking and make arrangements for us to acquire the timber we will need to season as soon as we have the wood cave prepared."

"Already working on it." Kaphrad had mentioned it to some of the Hold woodcrafters and sent letters to a few acquaintances elsewhere.

Aini made a note on some parchment she had brought. "I've already made a list of supplies needed, but I want to double
check them before discussing them with the Headwoman of the Hold." Aini looked up from the parchment to the men at the table with her. "Of course, if you have anything you think I might not think of, please let me know."

"Well read it off," Relik suggested, nodding to Kaphrad to speak up if there was anything he needed to add.

Aini smiled a little, then pulled two pieces of parchment out from the back of her stack, then passed them over to both of the men. "I made a copy for each of you. If there is anything you wish to add, you can simply write it at the bottom and then pass it along to me."

"Thank you." Kaphrad scanned the list. It looked thorough. Aini was going to make a great Headwoman.

"Well I'll think on it and get back to you." Relik didn't want to miss something and he would if he didn't contemplate over it. Scratching his nose for a moment, he settled and moved onto the next line of business. "Now Aini, it's at your discretion how and where and who you have for your staff. Even though it's some time yet until we'll need a lot of folks, you're more than welcome to start making inquiries on that. We don't have to take all folk from here either. We can bring 'em in from wherever you need." Indeed, Relik would prefer to have loyal men and women from the start without poaching from the Hold.

"I actually know a couple of people in a couple of different Holds I can recommend." People she either knew personally or had heard through contacts and knew were hard workers. "An acquaintance of mine actually expressed interest in moving out this way and I know she would do well as an assistant."

"Well send them some messages. We probably won't need more than just essential personnel till we get all the quarters
and everything built up right though so let them know they've got quite some time to prepare for their move if they're interested." Relik knew it would take some time. Still, preparations needed to be made. "You could even do interviews."

"I will do so. Interviews for those I don't know would be prudent." Aini nodded and she made a personal note on a piece of parchment.

"Very well. As our new home is built, it will be up to us to correct the mistakes made. Our designs and needs will be incorporated into some of the buildings as can be provided for. Report anything that is not being seen to as it should." Indeed if something went wrong, Relik wanted to know quickly.

"I'll make sure to keep an eye on things, especially in the early stages of building," Kaphrad said.

"I'll certainly report any issues immediately." Though Aini would certainly do her best to deal with things herself first. There was no point in bothering the Hallmaster with situations that she could take care of personally.

"Very well, I believe that'll do for now." A dry chuckle came out and Relik gave Aini a wink. "Either of you think of anything else?"

"Not at the moment, but I will be sure to let you know." Aini smiled to Relik, then glanced at Kaphrad.

"Same here," Kaphrad said.
