Description: Sh'dori congratulates his daughter, Malyna, on her Impression
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 12, day 7 of Turn 6

No matter how many times Sh'dori watched one of his children Impress,
it always touched him deeply. He pushed through the crowd filling out
of the Sands, silly grin on his face and moisture in his eyes. His
little Malyna, who always enjoyed so greatly the rides on Rahmuth's
back, he knew she was made to be rider.
Ignoring the fuss around the newest bronzerider, he found Malyna and
her little green.

"Malyna, my little Hatchling!"

She turned at the sound of the voice she knew so well. "Father!"
Malyna called out, waving him closer so she could wrap her arms around
him in a hug.

"I can't believe it!" She bubbled excitedly, "I mean, I can, but I'm
just so excited and, Oh, you have to meet Cayleryth!" She stretched
her hand down to the little green's head.

"Hello, Cayleryth! Aren't you a pretty little lady!" Sh'dori croutched
to scratch her.
** Another green for you to not Chase.**

"She's lovely. Beautiful shade of green."

The little green basked in the attention. }:Hungry:{ She grumbled, however.

"Will you walk with us, father? She is _very_ hungry." Malyna was
pleased to see the way Sh'dori interacted with Cayleryth. Not that she
was surprised. He was amazing with Rahmuth. She had always loved the
times she had spent with him and his brown.

"Certainly. They always are," Sh'dori grinned.

Malyna lead the way as they headed to the food that had been provided
for the new weyrlings. She immediately began feeding the little green
who opened her mouth eagerly to accept the food.

Turning to Sh'dori, she smiled, "I'm so happy to have finally found my
lifemate like you."

"Me too. Too bad Jayshan still didn't," Sh'dori replied. Jayshan was
one his children too, Malyna's half-brother and about same age.

"He will if the time is right. I'm sure it will happen for him as
well." Malyna replied. Finally arriving at the holding area for the
new weyrlings, she accepted the plate of meat and began feeding
Cayleryth. The little green kept eagerly bumping into her for more
food.

"Or not," Sh'dori murmured with a shrug. Not everyone Impressed, not
even their family.

"True," Malyna replied. Her focus turned back to her little green who
was eagerly devouring the meat she provided. "I'm just glad I did."

"I'm glad of it too," Sh'dori pulled her into a one more hug. "I'll leave
you two alone, so you can bond. I'll see you again at the Feast. As well
will everyone else, who no doupt, will want to congratulate you."

"Thank you father," Malyna replied, returning the hug. "I'm sure I will
have lots of questions for you in the future as I learn how to do
everything with Cayleryth."
