Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 9, day 27 of Turn 3

The greenrider peeked his head into the Wingleader's office. "Excuse me, but I believe I belong to you now."

U'das blinked his eyes in surprise. He felt like being totally in dark. Not only was this greenrider unfamiliar to him but his words didn't make any sense. "Erh, I don't own people. As far as know. And you would be?" He stepped into the office and took a seat. "R'sedel, beautiful green Eniidith's rider and your new wingrider."

"The transfer-in," U'das sounded relieved and delighted. For a moment he had thought this greenrider was going to declare being his son or something. "Welcome to River Bluff weyr and Torrent wing." "Thank you," the greenrider beamed. Strong and handsome! Very promising start to his River Bluff life! "I'm very much looking forward to working with you."

** Uh-uh, a flirty one! ** U'das groaned mentally. "Thank you. I believe you already have family here?" "Yes, my father and a brother, and who knows how many more are lurking somewhere," R'sedel chuckled. "My father hads always been prolific."

U'das chuckled. "So, you want to be closer to your family?" "Well, for a time at least," R'sedel nodded. "But I have to say, it was the people I _don't_ know yet that first attracted me here."

"All right, do you have your record with you?" U'das asked. The greenrider grinned and reached into his back pocket. "Here it is, all nice and warm for you."

"I see you come from Rising Moon Weyr. How was that place?" U'das asked. "Not bad. Good, actually. At least, at first. Well, still now." R'sedel knew that he wasn't making much sense. Finally he just had to laugh at himself. "When I first moved there, it was following my lover, and even though that ended, I found it a nice place to hold up for a while. But I grew restless and needed something new. It wasn't anything against Rising Moon. I guess I just needed a little change in my life."

"I can see you're searchrider too. That's good. We need more of your kind," U'das said and gave him lopsided grin. "We have barely enough candidate for the last hatching and the next one isn't that far away." "Well, I have to admit, there is no duty I love more than going out on Search. Eniidith is so excited when we leave on Search," the greenrider said with a fond smile. "And we have a very good success rate, both in aquiring candidates and the candidates Impression." It was a fact R'sedel was particularly proud of.

"Good. Do you need a pair for the searches? There are few blue- and brownriders I could assign to help you. Some of the outlying holds aren't exactly friendly places." "If it would make you feel better," he shrugged. After all, he really wouldn't mind a nice bluerider to keep him company. "But I'm accustomed to working alone. My size works to my advantage that way."

"Okay, I can understand that. But there are few young riders who could use little more experience of travelling to various holds. You don't mind a company now and then?" "Not at all," R'sedel grinned. "I fly to serve."

"I'm glad to hear that," U'das grinned back. "Did you meet the Headwoman already? She'll show you your weyr. And here's the wing's schedule," U'das handed him a paper. "Thank you." The greenrider looked it over carefully. "Which stage of Threadfall do you need me to fly?"

"Later half unless you have healer or dragonhealer training?" "Not a wit," R'sedel said with a shake of his head. "Second half it is then."

"All right. That's should cover everything. Again, welcome to the Torrent wing and we'll see at the drills."
