Tavia

Tavia began exploring Dragonsfall when she had time to do so. On this
particular afternoon she went looking for the infirmary. Of course she
didn't ask for directions but simply wandered the lower caverns until
she found the door she wanted.

There didn't seem to be any patients about at that moment so she
called out. "Hello?"

Aes warbled a greeting first, flying to inspect her. Perhaps he
smelled Glory on her.
"Hi, there," Taren walked out of his office. "How can I help you?"

"Hi," Tavia smiled. "I'm a new transfer here to Dragonsfall and I'm
also a Healer so I thought I'd come and get familiar with the
infirmary and offer my services for Fall days when I'm not flying in
the Wing."

"Welcome in, Tavia. I'll happily accept all help I can have," Taren
replied and gestured her to step in. "I´m Taren, the Weyrhealer, and
that curious bronze is Aes."

"Good," Tavia said then smiled at the little bronze. "Hello Aes," she
started and of course Glory chose that moment to pop in and glide
possessively to her shoulder. She certainly knew how to make an
entrance. "This is Glory," she said with a chuckle.

"Well, Aes' just fell in love," Taren chuckled. Indeed, his bronze was
busy wooing the gold. "Come one, I'll show you around and then we can
talk about adding you to staff roster and you schedule."

Tavia smiled back at the healer. She'd have to learn the new setup and
his expectations but she liked a challenge.

Glory disappeared with a crack and it was her turn to chuckle. "I
think she's going fishing," she said following the healer into the
infirmary proper.

"And there goes Aes to join her," Taren grinned when his flit disappeared too.

Tavia nodded, "Looks like she's beginning to gather her court." She
followed the healer to see their facilities. She would obviously have
to spend time learning where everything was stored. But she could
already pick out the herb counter with its various herbs and mortar
for grinding them together.

"Sir," she asked respectfully, "what is your specialty?"

"I'm a surgeon," Taren answered. "I gained my master during the
project to revive the old methods of treating Thread Scores," he
continued. "Do you have a specialty?"

"I do," she smiled. "I'm a nurse. But I can also assist with some
procedures and childbirth. Junior Journeyman but working toward
Senior," she added with another smile.

"Good to hear, never have too many of those," Taren nodded. "I have
few childbirths due, if you're interested." He pulled out some hides.
"I'll add you to the staff rotation. Did you bring your records from
Dolphin Cove?"

"Of course," she responded to the information about the childbirths.
"I did bring my records," she smiled. "But I'll have to go to my weyr
to get them. I'm afraid I didn't expect to find you here today."

"Not a problem, you can drop them in to my office anytime," Taren answered.

She nodded as he started writing on his hides. "I fly Queen's Wing and
can usually spend the second half of Fall in the infirmary to help
with any injuries if you'd like me to do that as well."

"That's good," Taren replied. "I'll inform Hygalia of your infirmary
schedule after I get it done."

"Thank you sir," she said respectfully.

"You're welcome," Taren replied.
